Walked in off the street hoping to get a minor repair to a religious medal that once belonged to my late grandmother and Janine couldn't have been more helpful. She dropped what she was doing and not only helped me with what I needed, but she also helped me choose a new chain necklace that was lightweight and perfectly fitted as far as length. Came back a week later to pick everything up and noticed that she was even able to "antique" the chain so that it matched the coloration of the much older medal. I was beyond impressed with her work, as well as the price, which was basically the retail cost of the new chain. Janine's Jewelry Design is why I always try to shop local. I could have gone to a much larger big-name jewelry store, but doubt I would have received the kind of attentive and fast service I got with Janine. I went in to look, having a good idea of what I wanted, and ended up finding the item in a one of a kind (OOAK) piece that Jeanine gave me the background on. I asked for the clasp to be reversed to right-handed and it was changed right then and there

She says she can also do repairs and I know several people I will be sending in for bead restringing and changing connectors etc.

I have been buying jewelry from Janine for about 20 years. My very first necklace (pictured) is one of my favorites but every trip to her shop is new and exciting. It’s a few towns away but makes for a nice ride. I quite often take her pieces for repair or modification. She either does it while I wait or mails it back to me. There are so many cool things in her shop that I love to spend an hour there to make sure I don’t miss anything.
