Burlington Review – Sunday, August 3rd at 2:35 PM
At 2:35 PM on Sunday, August 3rd, we were at this Burlington location stuck in a painfully slow-moving line. The one employee behind the counter was in no rush, and it was frustrating to watch—especially one employee named Ola.
Rather than helping move the line along, she was casually putting hangers away, slowly folding clothes, and walking around without any urgency. When it was finally our turn, Ola didn’t even call us over—we had to walk to her register ourselves, only to find her scrolling on her phone behind the counter.
When we asked if she could keep the hanger on the suit and cover it with a plastic bag (as another Burlington employee had done earlier), she bluntly said no. Thankfully, another associate corrected her and pointed out where the plastic was, but Ola’s dismissive tone and attitude were uncalled for.
Throughout the transaction, she continued moving at a snail’s pace, picking up, putting down, grabbing something else.. looking distracted and disinterested the entire time. The whole experience left us feeling disappointed and irritated. Burlington needs to seriously address the customer service at this location—there’s no excuse for that kind of behavior. Read moreNot the best Burlington as they did not have what I was looking for. It is a bit smaller than my favorite location, so maybe due to the lack of shelf space they don't carry what I was looking for or simply ran out. Either way I do not plan to go back to find out.
For one when I got there the line was super long. However, I cannot discount them any stars for that as that is not their fault. They are simply adjusting to the new normal and limiting the amount of people they allow in the store. However what they can control is the amount of registers being opened. A part of me honestly felt like they purposely had very few registers open that way when customers saw the line, it would deter them from staying. I'll be the first to say it worked on me because I left. The line was literally the shape of an L around the store and very few short of the completing the U.

I ask two sales associates how can I purchase a purse that's chained up & get a layaway so that I don't have to get back in line . So both the sales associates said oh! Our manager is in the back counting money & she's the only that can get any of these things . So I'm standing in the line with two cashiers manager still hasn't came to the front . I don't know who's the manager is at this store but she clearly don't know good leadership skills what's so ever !!! Leaders don't let their team drown !!! You step in & help your team !!! Smh and security looks like he's a high school kid that's just here in his phone . If they were mystery shopped would definitely fail . Sonny suppose to be the manager a customer told me that was in line for a hour .
