On my first visit I had a really bad experience with Jonathan Nieves he cut me and mutilated my nephew and did not even appologize for it. He also diminished his co-workers on the phone trying for me to not book with someone else only him.

So I went back but this time I made an appointment with the owner and he cut my hair Mr. José Dones and man this guy is a total gentelman. He was nice, polite, and professional and appologized several times for my first experience. Because of this I will be returning a 3rd time and a 4th and so on. Also my family and friends will b recommended to see José for a nice experience.

This spot is the epitome of a neighborhood barbershop. Great barbers, with actual personality, the kind of place that makes you feel welcome, and also send you on your way looking sharp. I highly recommend this for any hair style, not sure if they do cuts for women or braids, but for the men, they will line you up, trim your beard and your eyebrows and get rid of your unsightly neck hairs to leave you feeling clean and confident.

Added bonus: if you stand out front while you wait you get to give directions to all sorts of random people driving past! 😂

TLDR: this spot is awesome, you won't get a better cut...

Let me start with saying how amazing Emily is! I drove all the way from Vermont just to have her cut my hair and it’s amazing. She is so detailed oriented it’s great! I will continue to drive from Vermont just to have her cut my hair. And for the barber shop itself, I love the detail that was put into the shop to make it feel a little more like Holyoke and really touch the hearts of everyone that walks in.
