4/4/2024 - This is a follow up to my initial review -- now that the work has been completed by Mario and two coworkers. Mario was here from 10 to 4:30 and two other coworkers were here much of the time. They worked diligently and neatly and included us throughout the process where it made sense to do so. They installed an outlet in the bathroom, two dimmers, a switch box and 7 floods in two locations. They did excellent work and were neat and tidy.
I am providing this initial review prior to having the work done or seeing the estimate. This review covers the initial contact and setting up the visit for the estimate.
I had called a number I was given for owner Steve which I called and left two messages which went unanswered. I then called their âsisterâ company AIR/FX and got right through and made an appointment for an estimate which was to take place today between 8 and noon. I consider that to be a wide window - 4 hours. At 12:15, there was no call or person so I phoned AIR/FX and was told they had some emergency calls due to a storm. I understand and appreciate that. However, a simple phone call in the morning to tell me that would have been easy snd appropriate. This had me questioning using Electrix.
Then electrician Mario arrived. He is a nice friendly guy, very experienced, had great recommendations, explained things clearly and said he will send an estimate and schedule for the following week -- which he did right away. He changed my impression - plus Electrix came highly recommended from the #1 YouTuber in The Villages, FL - Jerry & Linda who have tens of thousands of followers.

   Read moreElectrix is the company Lowe's provided with our generator install. The install was done on a timely basis and the install went well. The generator is set to "exercise" on a weekly/biweekly/or monthly basis. They automatically set for weekly. That is fine except we were not told there were other options. We wanted it reset for monthly not weekly exercise since it uses propane each time and the propane use cost $$. I phoned the ofc and asked if the tech who set it up could call us to walk us through resetting for monthly instead if weekly. The generator was just installed a couple of weeks ago. The office told me no that he would have to come out and there would be a $90 service charge. I objected to that since he didn't tell us or give us the option on time for exercise. Too bad. We ended up figuring it out and it was pretty simple. Probably would have taken 5 minutes out of the tech's time. The point being the ofc person was uncooperative and had no interest in assisting or even passing the message along. I told her this was unacceptable and to please pass the message along. After we were able to reset I called back and expressed my displeasure with their ofc and lack of help and her response was "have a nice day".    Read moreWe called to get a quote on replacing a failed panel to an up to code panel they gave us a quote but they even called the city inspector to make sure that was all we needed since we had about an additional 5 quotes 4 of them wanted to add more stuff saying the "state requires it" they didn't only call the city inspector supervisor but also had the best price and time frame not only the tech was very honest and savvy. Also,Tammy is such a sweet person and so helpful she gets things done and schedule same day you agree to quote. I didn't even had to call the electric company to request the shut off for them to work you might think thats her job but not really others ask for you to call and arrange with your electric company but to find someone so willing to go the extra mile and be so happy to do it means alot. She defenetly made my day and the process easier. I am a Realtor recommended them to a client that needed help Angel was the tech and same experience, same work ethic, and honesty.
