Raye Theater — Local services in Hondo

Very quaint and fun throwback surprise in Hondo. The food and ticket prices are from the 90's, and so is the theater. I really enjoy this theater; it's a great getaway from all the large theaters in the San Antonio area, and brings me back to how the theaters looked in the now-defunct (I think) Loews Theatres rooms.

I felt like I took a time machine to the past in the Raye, but with recently-released films. I'm hoping that at least once a month, there is a film I want to see playing there so I can have a reason to go back! (To be determined, but I may go...

Nice but older place. One screen 🎭 theater. Prices are way more reasonable than the larger movie chains. More intimate and cozy setting however since being an older place lacks the more modern amenities of a chain theater such as reclining chairs. the only complaint I and many others seem to really have is the temperature inside the theater was very warm even to cause a sweat on the forehead they did attempt to help by putting out industrial fans to try to call the theater down otherwise it was...

We went to see Lion King...had a great time. The employees were wonderful. The prices were reasonable. The seats were very comfortable. Everything was terrific. The only problem we can really see is the website needs some work. Times and prices of movies as well as the movies themselves should be listed and kept up regularly.
