18 Street Raspas LLC — Restaurant in Hondo

So 5 years ago I gave these guys a 5 star review. At the time Gustavo was running everything, the service was fantastic, and the snacks and raspas were fresh and yummy. Since handing it over to his kids everything has gone down hill. We went from being a twice a week customer to once in a blue moon customers. Today my coworkers picked up raspas (coconut w/ leche) and they were terrible, smelled like wet dog, we quickly realized the sweetened condensed milk that they leave open in the fridge for lord knows how long was rotten. When they went back to exchange the FULL raspas they refused to exchange them and asked for full payment. What a way to conduct business....

I found this place on Google Maps. The menu, pictures, and reviews made it seem like a great place to visit in Hondo.

I ordered a medium blue strawberry raspa, a medium corn in a cup with all regular ingredients, and a frito pie without jalapeños.

The raspa was my first. It's better than a snowcone.

One of my sons' and my favorite small businesses in Hondo! Their snowcones are LEGENDARY. The raspa "snow" melts INSTANTLY in your mouth and the flavor is jam-packed!
