At first I gave them a 3 star rating, as we liked the furniture we got. A nice big entertainment center, a coffee table that raises up, a queen sized bed and a big sectional couch. We also purchased the $100 protection plan, so if anything happened, our nice VERY expensive furniture could be repaired.
Well, it's now a little over a year later, and the sectional couch is nearly falling apart, as the seat springs have detached from the rest of the couch, creating a safety hazard for my two young kids.
Additionally, the coffee table has become unhinged, and doesn't function properly anymore.
Good thing we got the $100 protection plan, right!?
WRONG.
After coming to our house and assessing the damage, they are claiming they cannot repair the furniture because it requires parts! And that all they can do is offer a refund for the protection plan! rather than ordering the parts they need to fix it, they are completely back pedaling on this protection plan, which is one of the main reasons we spent so much money on this furniture in the first place!
Do yourself a favor and do not buy furniture from the NEX, because one, it barely holds up after a year, and two, because the NEX is obviously a corrupt organization who seeks to prey on service members who will eventually PCS away from Pearl Harbor, therefore, rendering the protection plan useless, because they won't ship parts (not even to California)...

It was on sale at a great deal and we were so happy we could hardly contain ourselves. We got the furniture home and realized the construction wasn’t perfect, definitely some cheaper materials, but hey it’s a NEX furniture store you can’t expect hand crafted quality. Assembly was very easy, and the couch was and is still very comfortable. However within a few days the arm rest caved in. But the real disappointment was yet to occur. About two weeks had passed and my wife and I were watching tv together when we heard something similar to rain, well much to our dismay there were thousands of small plastic balls (possibly desiccant?) raining all over our floor. After we finally finished cleaning our floor we headed back to the furniture store, I asked the sales rep if he knew what it was and he said he had no idea, and that “there shouldn’t be anything like that” he seemed bored with my questions and unapologetic, and said there was nothing he could do about it. A gentleman walked up to us and asked if we had any questions and I asked “if we purchased today, how long would it take to ship to our home?” His response was that it would arrive in 3 days “but you would have to make a decision now because we are closing. The sale will still be good until Saturday.” It is an absolute joke for someone to be in retail sales and to have more interest in closing the store than to make a sale for a purchase close to $2000! I get that it is close to your time to leave but we had been in the store for 30 minutes and nobody even bothered to greet us. Customer service apparently doesn’t exist at this NEX Home Gallery.
