I joined the gym a couple of weeks ago and I haven't been able to create an account either online or on the app. I came in and tried to get this resolved twice with no resolve. My third time I asked for a manager and got Aaron(may have misspelled it). Not only was he very courteous, apologetic and eager to help, but you could also hear the smile in his voice the whole conversation. He was very pleasant and willing to try to do all he could to get the issue resolved. I also had some issues with my payment and he did the same for this. Handled it with a smile, through the phone again and got the issue resolved as much as he had control over. Now I still have not gotten my account issue resolved, but that is beyond his control. The only real issue I would say should be addressed is the lack of enthusiasm and attention and acknowledgement paid at the front desk from anybody else that works up there. The first time I did come to resolve the issue, there were two people at the desk and I had to ask them, were they working the desk because neither one of them moved as I stood there waiting for them. Any encounter at the desk with anyone other than Aaron, they have been very nonchalant, dry and not friendly at all. The rest of the staff should kinda match Aaron's attitude, even if it's not real. I work in customer service and hate bad customer service and honestly, if it wasn't for Aaron, I'm not sure I would even want to continue with the membership because first impressions matter to a...
Read moreFrom someone who was a member of this facility for two years, take your business elsewhere. You can tell a lot about a company by how they treat their employees - and it’s pretty clear that this company only cares about numbers and money. Their solution to everything is to fire and rehire. They’ve been through at least 3 managers in the past 2 years - each one more incompetent than the last. They need to realize that maintaining members and clients is more important than consistently pushing sales. Pressure from corporate has caused previous managers to fudge numbers in order to receive bonuses because they’re severely underpaid, but Heaven (current GM) has managed to deflect the blame of her poor performance onto her coworkers and employees. The owner needs to start focusing on the issues that actually matter. Quality of trainers and employees is everything. Without that, you’re left with a run down gym, old equipment, and dirty bathrooms (with a million dead bugs in the lights). With their last two good trainers gone and replaced with someone who would do the job for less (temporarily) , quality is something the PT department is now incredibly lacking. I only stayed for as long as I did because I was worried another gym wouldn’t have a womens’ Olympic bar (Im training for a competition). Come to find out, Crunch’s biggest competitor has at least five, as well as other amenities (like a sauna and women’s only room) for the same price each month. I would’ve made the switch...
Read moreSee the socalled leadership response to my comment further let's others know their prideful, arrogant, and false statements you do not have 5 star rating your gym is trash stop with the false statements and accusations about my comment not being normal Crunch at the Hoover location left me thoroughly unimpressed and quite frankly, disgusted. I'm incredibly glad I opted for their three-day free pass before committing to a membership. The entire staff was unprofessional, and I wasn't offered a tour—a blessing in disguise, as the gym itself is outdated, filthy, and unsanitary. The women's restroom was particularly appalling; the floors were dirty, wet, and muddy, and the toilets had feces stuck to them. The showers were outdated with black mold everywhere, and the handicap shower was broken and filthy. The gym itself felt tiny and ghetto, with outdated equipment. In the training room, workout equipment was dirty and dusty, and there was trash and filth underneath the dumbbells and other gear. I honestly felt sick after leaving. To make matters worse, the rap music they played was disrespectful to women, featuring explicit sexual acts and words that are entirely inappropriate. It was truly horrible, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it felt like a dirty strip club—definitely not a safe environment for elegant, classy women. I will...
