Update 12/25/2024 My second visit at this place. Got time to try their famous Mandi. Completely agree why everyone craves for their Mandi. Perfect on spot. The flavors of rice and chicken are top-notch. Definitely would suggest to try their Mandi. Service and staff are amazing. Their Christmas decor is beautiful. Very welcoming atmosphere. Would recommend and visit again. Hyderabad House Indian restaurant exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The service was impeccable, with staff members who were not only prompt but also incredibly courteous and attentive to every need. Now let's talk about the food – absolutely divine! Each dish was bursting with authentic Indian flavors, served piping hot and presented beautifully. From the aromatic curries to the perfectly cooked tandoori specialties, every bite was a culinary delight. But it wasn't just the food that left me impressed; the atmosphere was equally remarkable. The ambiance was electric, with a well-lit and clean dining area that exuded a classy charm. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner for two or a lively gathering with friends, Hyderabad House Indian restaurant provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience. Overall, I can't recommend Hyderabad House Indian restaurant highly enough. It's a true gem that combines exceptional food, outstanding service, and an inviting atmosphere to create a dining experience that's nothing short of extraordinary. Nice atmosphere, nice food, nice staff. Would visit again.

The food was very good, I had the Chicken Dum Biryani, the side sauces were great to compliment the dish, as was the spice level. For a dinner portion, an adequately sized lime or perhaps two would be more appropriate to actually spread over the whole dish. The naan sampler was great, and the Tikka Masala was exactly what one would expect. There were no ingredients listed nor descriptions of the food items, which hindered my fellow diner's ability to enjoy their dish as they're not keen on green bell peppers. I had the Mango Lassi, also great, but now getting to the service aspect of my review, the server did not continue to remain our server. Our order was correct. The drinks rang in were correct, but they never cane and had to be asked for from the lady checking in on all the diners and processing check payments and fetching to go containers/bag. There was no check presented to the table. The total was said aloud. Check was paid for in cash. There was an 18% gratuity for a large party added to the check, despite it being only two Caucasian diners total in our party. Perhaps this is due the Indian tip culture, which is typically 5% or less, having extensive personal experience with such diners myself, or perhaps a default setting on the Toast Payment Operating System, but the person who processed the payment neglected to mention or disclose it, which is poor service. The ambiance, though colorful, is a bit gaudy; the restaurant itself was laid out well, well lit, was clean, and felt open as opposed to feeling cramped.

This place is absolutely amazing! First, you can tell they've put a lot of effort into the decor. It's very pretty and picturesque with a blossoming tree, phone booth, and flowers on the ceiling. It's a cozy and romantic place. Second, the service was outstanding. Every waitress was nice and helpful with recommendations and the owner was very kind and genuine. He spoke with every table multiple times and had nice conversation regarding his passion for the food industry. My dad always gets chicken Saag and didn't see it on the menu. The owner said he would request for the chef to make it! You can tell the owner really cares about people. Lastly, the food was so delicious. The chicken 65 was flavorful and crispy. The butter naan was moist with a great taste. The Afghani chicken was sweet and creamy with a spice that builds up. The chicken Saag was seasoned great. The portions were a good size. They also have a lot of stuff on the menu that I've never seen at other restaurants. Even the little details were perfect, right down to the golden silverware. Despite staying until closing time, we never felt rushed. There really is nothing else like this place in Birmingham. This is a new favorite and I will be back! Thank you!!!

First let me say that I am originally from Hyderabad and know the cuisine of my region well. I am sharing my experience so other patrons know what to expect. The ambience is nice and the decor is well appointed. The colors and keeping up with the current trends. We went in for dinner at 6:30 pm and we’re seated right away. We have a 2 year old with us and they had Cartoon Network playing so my son was thoroughly entertained. TV is a treat for him. We were not in the mood for a very spicy meal so we chose the least spicy dish on the menu “ Chicken Afghani” and Goat Curry with Poroota. We insisted to make both dishes mild. The food came fairly quickly but upon tasting the chicken afghani we were surprised how spicy it was. I told the lady who took the order that it was very spicy and to check with the chef if they made a mistake and did not read our request to make it mild. In response, she let me know that the item was the least spicy item on the menu and she will check with the chef. 20 mins later I ask her if she spoke to the chef as we had focused on eating the other dish and guzzling our bottled water. She let me know the kitchen is busy and she did not speak with anyone and that next time she will make it mild. I did not say much as we needed to feed our kid and get out of there. She had two options to make it right for us. Take the entree back and remake it based on our order or write off the amount from the check as it was not made per our request. She did none of that and charged me for the item without even an apology. I am from Hyderabad and know what my cuisine should taste like. Hyderabadi food is flavorful and not spicy, where your nose is running and you have to guzzle tons of water. If you can’t be authentic with the regions cuisine and provide a minimum level of customers service, then don’t be in the service industry with misrepresenting a regions cuisine. I write this review so people to don’t patronize a place the is not willing to change and provide quality sevice to stay and earn the business...
