Stop & Shop — Local services in Hopewell Township

[11-13-2024 update] - Some food or beverages are close to the expiration date. I saw orange juices that have already expired for 11-1-2024 and they still trying to sell it. I don't know what's going on but it's not the same as it used to be. In fact it's only gotten worse since I've only be seeing one cashier lately while there are a couple of self check out lanes and I have a feeling they are about to close this store for good. The mood in this store feels depressing. I am not sure what is going on but I hope everything is alright.

I have been going to StopnShop in Pennington NJ for a long time and I always leave with a smile. Everyone is so wonderful and I have made many friends. Today I made some purchases in the morning, including cat litter. Hours later I realized I did not have the cat litter. I thought I left it at the register but knew that couldn't be because they are very careful to check to make sure you have everything. I don't know what happened to it because I know it was not in the cart. I had recently lost my husband and then had to put my cat to sleep so I know I am not in the best state of mind. They were so kind to give me another bag at no cost. They are like my family. Very...

We decided to hit the easy button and order grocery pickup. It was anything but easy. When we arrived at our pick up time we waited for a bit after they said the order was almost ready. 15 minutes later someone came out and asked us if we would like to come back, it was going to be another half hour. 90 minutes after our scheduled pick up time we are home unpacking groceries and we were charged for something that never got added to our bags. Then we had to call to try to get our money refunded. It would have been easier to have just have gone in and shopped ourselves. We use shop rite as well and never had problems like this.
