We had read a few reviews of Wildflowers and it didn't seem like it would be a bad fit for our group of 12. We were seated quickly at a bar in the back of the restaurant, and at first we were happy that we had a mostly private space to ourselves (and all 6 kids) but it didn't turn out to be so great. We were right next to the service station and what I assume are the "downtime" tables. The tables behind us had various notebooks and office supplies strewn about, and the tables across from us were still dirty and didn't get bussed the entire time we were there. Our server Taylor, the only good thing about about this place, was super nice and attentive all night, even as things went south. All of our drinks and food orders were taken correctly and he was top notch - but everything else was pretty much in the tank.

The salads were literally huge plates of lettuce with a few pieces of tomato, ONE olive and some onion. The entrees all came out in intervals over the course of about 10 minutes, which is unacceptable. After the all the food arrived, we were told that there was only one order of ribs available -- AFTER the food was on the table -- and that a replacement could be made. Again, AFTER the food was already in front of us. The sweet potato side on one plate was ice cold, as if it was never heated up at all. And the woman who seemed like the manager wasn't cordial at all and almost seemed annoyed at us.

We tried to finish what we could, asking for the check as the food came out so we could vacate as soon as we were done. Not a great experience.

I noticed a sign on the way out that read, "DINNER: 1. Take It 2. Leave it"....

This must be a locals-only place, because if you don't know how to work it, you're out of luck.

My friend and I went here for dinner on a Wednesday night. It was lively, but not a mob scene. We were blatantly ignored when we entered. I caught a bartender's eye, and she quickly looked down and avoided acknowledging me. We walked all the way around the bar slowly with no acknowledgment before finally flagging down a waitress to ask if we should seat ourselves or not. She very brusquely and rudely asked if we wanted dining room or bar seating. Well, if that's the service we would get in the dining room, I wasn't going for it; we chose bar.

We sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, we decided we had better sit right next to the waitress' station--maybe then they would see us. That did get us attention, but the service never became good. We were given one menu which we ended up having to share. The wait for our simple cheeseburgers was unreasonable. The waitress never once checked back with us after we got our food. She did bring us a second round of drinks, but long after they were gone, we ended up asking another waitress for our check.

To be fair, my burger was delicious (fries were not--they were dry and rather bland). The beers on tap were decent, though they didn't actually have the Dogfish that was on the beer list.

Overall, seems like the place to go for decent food if you know the people and aren't afraid to help yourself. If you're just traveling through and looking for a good meal like I was, skip it. Or, if you like halfway decent...

Was there Friday March 9th at 6:30, upon arrival I sat at the bar. There were 2 young ladies and a gentleman bartending. After waiting 5 minutes , I got a beer menu , then 10 minutes later the dark haired girl served me my beer. I ordered soup, was delicious as usual. After putting my plastic # ID on top of my empty glass, I waited approximately 15 minutes (due to the fact that the 2 young ladies were doing shots with one of the patrons, and the blonde was eating his pizza) The blonde finally comes over and asks if I needed anything. I pointed at my empty glass with the #thing on it. She then gives me my check, I look at it and she charged me for another beer. Now I'm waiting another 5 minutes to tell someone about the overcharge. So when a server brought food to the couple sitting next to me, I asked him to get a bartender for me. The dark haired girl came and says you want to cash out? I say yes but I was overcharged, she looked at the check and says you only had 1 beer, I said yes. I then overheard the couple next to me say how inappropriate it was for the blonde to be eating and a I turned to them and said yes extremely inappropriate !!!! I have been a regular there for a very long time and hope this makes its way to the owner. I'm sure he wouldn't approve of...

We walked in for lunch to be greeted by a spaced out blonde woman who seemed to have no interest in being there. Maybe she was having a bad day, not too big a deal. The menu was large but nothing sounded particularly appealing. I ended up going with the grilled mahi mahi tacos. This was honestly some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten. I couldn’t take more than one bite of the warm, wet, mushy fish. The tortillas were obviously just small flour tortillas from a grocery store, the pico de gallo was mealy and bland, and the sauce was completely out of place. The total price for this dish was $19.95, absolutely outrageous for the quality. Our server was very nice and accommodating however, possibly the only good part of this outing. The bathrooms are outwardly clean but pretty dirty on closer inspection. It’s obvious nobody has done a thorough cleaning in a long long time. Absolutely would not recommend. Maybe dinner service is better. I doubt it.

My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose The Wildflowers Inn for Hopewell Township, our 151st town. Wildflowers is the type of casual place you can bring a family to dinner or hang out at the bar with a bunch of friends. We came w/friends who recommended this place and had a great time! It was a busy Friday night when we visited, and the place was packed. Service was good despite the crowd as the staff were hustling. We enjoyed a bunch of entrees including: Mediterranean Salad, Vodka Penne Proscuitto, Jacqui's Chicken, and the Shazam Shrimp. Definitely would recommend to others. Oh, and if you use the Mens room, they have a comically "Shaq-sized" facility alongside the "regular" facilities. :) That was quite the laugh.

A staple for locals in the area. Probably the best boneless wings around. Buffalo or try the honey buffalo barbecue sauce on them. And we love the bar pies. They also make a thinner crusted Sicilian pizza that tastes great with pepperoni. We also love the Ken’s mussels and Ken’s salad. Service is sometimes faster at the bar. Gets really busy around 6pm so if you are starving go earlier or go at 7:30. This is a pizza place tavern not really a fine dining place so I can’t say how the fish is ( I wouldn’t order things like that here ) burgers , wings , pizza… salads are the way to go here. I did have chicken parm once and it was ok but my family and friends all usually only get the things I mentioned. The curly fries are good too . And we love the regular bar pies with sausage.
