Read moreI almost hate writing this review bc I love supporting a small local business eeeek but...this is not a TRUE Marijuana dispensary. This place is EXCELLENT if you are looking for CBD. However, this shop only sells Delta 8 and Delta 10 cannabis/hemp derived products. Both are 100% legal and dont require a license to sell (like a delta 9 dispensary), so lots of tobacco shops are extending out, esp in states where weed is legal bc they can sell it under a "dispensary" guise. Delta 8 and 10 are partially synthetic and more importantly, they are not regulated by the FDA (the way delta 9/regular weed is) so farmers and manufacturers dont have to abide by any standards and product is not required to be tested for additives or contaminants. I would give this shop the benefit of the doubt, but they HIDE this. I specifically asked for "regular weed" and he offered "more potent" options that contain THC but are still delta 8 and 10. They do not sell delta 9, so its not worth even asking. The people reporting that you just have to ask for the right stuff, were fooled by the words, "oh you want more potent stuff, its down here". And that's not a lie. It is more potent. But its not D9. We spent $160 and i kind of had a hunch that the clerk was not being fully honest, but trusted positive reviews and had NO idea what D8 and D10 were. Hours of research after... Expensive...
Read moreThe staff are very friendly, certainly, and will help direct you towards products. Unfortunately, I have to agree with other reviewers here that the store is misleading and disingenuous with what it sells, despite widespread customer satisfaction (based on reviews) with the products sold.
Despite news stories that say they have Pennington's only recreational license, the products that they sell are almost exclusively, if not entirely exclusively, â8, â9o, and â10 THC (not regulated by the FDA or even state law) rather than the highly abundant, naturally occurring â9 strains. These compounds are purported to have similar (albeit weaker) effects based on primarily anecdotal evidence, and they are allowed at the federal level due to their low THCâ9 content. This is evident based on the fact that many, if not all of their products are produced by manufacturers outside of New Jersey (whereas federal law prohibits the interstate transport of such products; this is why state-legal products are exclusively produced within the state in which they are sold, e.g. Washington, Oregon, Colorado, etc...)
There is not necessarily anything wrong with selling product that is predominated by these compounds, but the shop operates as if it is offering the same products as other, more expensive dispensaries despite the fact that it is not selling...
