This place was a lot of fun in the 1980s and 1990s with Kmart, B. Dalton bookstore, Musicland, JC Penny and other stores. Over the years all of those stores left or went out of business. The addition of Gogebic Community College, DHS, and other businesses have stabilized things up there but there are still a lot of vacant spaces. Read moreWhile the mall used to be relatively okay for a small town mall, there are barely any stores left in it anymore. I feel like the only things really keeping it open are Dunham's and the movie theater, and maybe more recently the Laser Tag place. It is a great venue when they have the annual craft shows and such, but other than that--not really a good mall to "shop" at unless you're looking for outdoors stuff, antiques, or a game of laser tag.
