I loved the concessions and the speed of service with them. However the ticket person was unnecessarily rude. From the moment my group and I started getting our tickets checked, he was complaining about how to scan the tickets. This problem would be resolved if instead of having to use screenshots, an actual receipt was sent to the buyer. Technical error, I totally understand, but the system should be fixed if heās going to complain about it the entire time. At the end of the movie we watched, we waiting to see if there were end credits (there were) within 2 minutes of the scene ending, the same person who took our tickets, walked in and asked if we needed any help. When we responded no, he very quickly responded that there were other people waiting to see the movie, and we needed to hurry up and leave. I understand the need to get more customers in. But where is the time to clean if thatās how fast they wanted new customers in the same seats, that are still warm because we JUST got up. Overall it completely ruined the experience at the movie theater. This middle aged, bald, 5ā10, man (Iām just describing him) should definitely be retrained and undergo a customer service training program. Yes they exist, and yes he really needs it.
The young girls behind concessions were polite, and speedy, thereās also a wide selection of snacks, and refillable drinks 10/10 there. The chairs are very comfortable, leather and recline a considerable amount. The theater itself is very comfortable and high quality.
Just be careful of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIs it the fanciest cinema in the world? No. Is it in a prime location where hundreds and hundreds of movie-goers come in every night? Not. But don't let that fool you.
The movie tickets are a reasonable price ($7 per person for a movie that's been out a couple of weeks, on a Friday, as of this writing), the service was very good and the staff polite, the theater was clean, and the seats were very comfortable. Movie looked great on their screen, too.
Not to mention free refills on all sizes soda, along with sode being self serve, meaning that you can dash for a refill and only miss a few seconds of the movie, as opposed to missing a couple of minutes at other theaters where you need to wait in line for them to get you a refill, which is the policy at virtually every other theater I've been to (likely because every other theater out there I've been to only has large sodas get free refills).
Refreshments and snacks were a little pricey (not much more than typical theater rates, though) but given they're a small business, I'm willing to overlook it, and I hope you are too.
The only complaint I could come up, if I must, was that the lighting near the soda machines could be a little brighter (not worth docking a star over), but really that's it. Everything else was exactly to my expectations or more.
Rogers Cinema is clearly run by management who care about movies and the movie going experience, and while I don't watch movies in theaters much nowadays, I'd definitely enjoy going back the next time there's a blockbuster...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy good friend spent all morning returning cans so that he could come watch a movie with us. Me and him are both 16, legally able to drive. Our other 2 friends were 18 and 15. We were looking to have a good time since this is the first time we have hung out all together as a group in a while. They turned us down at the door due to the fact that we were under the age restriction of 17 and didnāt have a parent with us to watch a rated r movie. They wouldnāt even let us call our parents to give us consent to watch it they said we needed them to come up and sign off in person. We live 45 minutes away. Waste of time. Itās always been my place to watch movies but itās unbelievable we got turned down. We are legally allowed to drive but we are too young to watch a movie with blood and violence. Something...
