I had high hopes for this location, especially since it’s a brand new spot, but my experience was a complete disappointment. Initially, I was ready to give this place at least four stars, but after noticing several issues, I can’t recommend it.

One of the biggest concerns was the lack of quality control. While shopping, I noticed some discoloration between two of the sauces on the shelf. This discoloration clearly indicated that the sauce had gone bad – the seal was popped, and the sauce had turned rancid. This is something that should have been caught during the quality check, but it was still on the shelf for unsuspecting customers like myself to purchase.

Unfortunately, I was a victim of this oversight. I went to the store to buy spring roll wrappers for a recipe I was planning to make at home. I had intended to roll the wrappers and fry them to create a crunchy texture, as I had seen at restaurant. After leaving the store, everything seemed fine – the store was busy, the food appeared fresh, and the cashier was pleasant. I had trouble finding my loyalty card, but the store had a system where you can enter your number to get rewards.

When I went home and prepared to make my spring rolls on Monday, I noticed that the spring roll wrappers didn’t look right. They had strange grain-like spots, and after further inspection, I realized the spots were actually mold. I was shocked – the packaging clearly stated that the product was good for up to three months after thawing, but the wrappers had been kept in the refrigerated section, not the frozen section where they should have been. This was extremely disappointing.

By the time I realized the issue, I had already spent my time and energy making the spring rolls, and I had to throw them out. I wasn’t about to drive all the way back (15 miles from my house) to complain. I simply had to discard the ruined product and move on.

While the rest of the store seemed fine, this experience has made me hesitant to return. The location definitely needs to improve its quality control before I would consider recommending it to others. I really hope this feedback helps the management address these issues and ensure that customers are getting fresh,...

Title: Disappointing Customer Service Experience at 99 Ranch

Rating: ★★☆☆☆

I recently visited 99 Ranch, a popular grocery store, and unfortunately, my experience with their customer service left much to be desired. From the moment I walked into the store, I felt like an outsider, as no one made an effort to greet or assist me.

One particular incident that stood out was when I approached the hot food section. Despite standing there for a considerable amount of time, none of the staff members approached me or asked if I needed any assistance. It was disappointing to be ignored and left to figure things out on my own.

Customer service plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for shoppers. Sadly, my experience at 99 Ranch fell short in this aspect. It is disheartening to feel like an outsider in a place that should prioritize customer satisfaction.

While the store offers a wide variety of products and an extensive selection of Asian groceries, the lack of attentive customer service left a lasting negative impression. As a customer, I value feeling valued and appreciated when I patronize a business, and unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit to 99 Ranch.

I hope that 99 Ranch takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their customer service. By training their staff to be more attentive, approachable, and proactive in assisting customers, they can create a more welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience for all.

Overall, my disappointment in the customer service at 99 Ranch overshadowed the positives of the store's offerings. I hope that they take the necessary steps to address this issue, as it would greatly enhance the overall shopping experience for...

Visiting the 99 Ranch Market at 12230 Westheimer Road is nothing short of a delightful journey into the heart of Asian grocery culture—right here in Houston. Located in the West on West center, this location offers a modern, clean, and beautifully organized supermarket experience that stands out among local options .

What truly makes this market shine is its commitment to freshness and variety. The produce is clean and reasonably priced, while the seafood and meat departments impress with wide selections and live tanks. Several customers even rave about unique service perks, such as free cleaning or deep-frying of fish—an absolute time-saver and game-changer for at-home meal prep . One local Reddit user notes:

“At their Seafood counter, you can buy fresh fish… and they will clean/prep and deep fry it for you free of charge.”

The bakery deserves a special mention too. Patrons can’t stop raving about treats like coconut raisin bread and the bacon-garlic baguette, both of which often sell out fast—so it’s wise to get there early .

Shoppers appreciate the store’s layout—wide aisles, clear organization, and even senior discounts (15% off for seniors)—making the experience both convenient and welcoming . Plus, being part of the larger 99 Ranch chain—proudly dubbed a “gateway to Asia”—means you’ll find an impressive array of imported groceries from across Asia, alongside curated in-store offerings like deli-style meals, pastries, and more .

In short, the 99 Ranch Market on Westheimer Road excels with its fresh, multicultural selections, thoughtful services, and inviting atmosphere—making it a go-to spot for both seasoned cooks and adventurous food...

Wonderful location! Plenty of food and other great items! They had a bit of a show for the lunar feat that was awesome to see

Ah, Westheimer Road! Bustling, vibrant, and now, a delightfully unexpected oasis of Asian flavors. My recent visit to the newest Ranch 99 Market there was a breath of fresh air, a culinary passport to a world of vibrant ingredients and friendly faces. My senses were immediately overwhelmed in the best way possible. Rows upon rows of fruits and vegetables...Crisp bok choy, plump eggplants, and glistening mangoes. And the seafood section, a symphony of fresh fathead catfish, glistening tuna steaks, and jewel-toned class. And then, of course, there were the aisles upon aisles of familiar favorites: kimchi vats bubbling with fiery promise, filipino sauces galore, shelves groaning under the weight of ramen bricks and instant noodle packs, and a freezer section dedicated to frozen dumplings in every delectable variety imaginable. Each turn promised a taste of home, a familiar comfort in this new and bustling landscape. But beyond the bounty itself, what truly impressed was the atmosphere. The air hummed with the friendly chatter of shoppers haggling over durian prices and giggling children chasing trolleys. Employees navigated the aisles with practiced ease, ready with a smile and a helpful phrase in Chinese or Vietnamese (hopeful Tagalog soon). It was a microcosm of Asian life, bustling and chaotic yet imbued with a warmth that made me feel instantly welcome. The newest Ranch 99 wasn't just a grocery store; it was a portal to another world, a vibrant celebration of Asian flavors and culture planted right in the heart of Houston, Texas. And I, for one, couldn't wait to explore its every corner, one delicious bite at a time. Will definitely be back soon!
