My friend and I randomly went to this lounge/restaurant. I thought there would have been a dress code due to their aesthetic, however they welcomed us! As long as you’re not wearing anything crazy revealing you should be fine. Don’t let the decor scare you away as it almost did me. As soon as we walked in I noticed how cold the inside of the restaurant was so we asked the host to seat us outside. He was kind and professional. Oscar, our server came promptly to greet us and get our drink orders. His service was A1 the whole time. I can honestly say every interaction I had with an individual that worked there was good at minimum. We decided to order hookah and that’s when I noticed they were like many other lounges. The main shisha they had was by a brand name Al Fahker. In my opinion this is not lounge quality shisha. Thankfully they did have a few Starbuzz brands which is a grade above Al Fahker. I wish I could find more lounges here in Houston that had actually put in time and care into finding great shisha. However, I do have to say the pricing for a hookah is fabulous! Now, onto the food!
I’m vegan so I did not have many options. However I did get the sampler and modified it to fit best. The falafel were amazing! So much crunch! However, my friend was not a fan. The hummus could certainly use some more flavor. And, the cauliflower I ordered I asked for them to toss in Buffalo sauce and they politely said they can accommodate . The flavor of these were great! However, super soggy.
Will I be coming back? Eh. Maybe on a day for happy hour for their hookah (as they do NOT serve alcoholic beverages) or just to take some cute photos if I’m in the area and dressed up really nice. But, I don’t too much care to take the drive. Again, Oscar was amazing! And this place has it right when it comes to...
Read moreWent here with my boyfriend and I's late night anniversary dinner. Did not disappoint.
Note: they do serve hookah so if you're a person who doesn't like smoke this is probably not the best place to eat.
They open till 2am so it's a very good choice for late night dinner.
Anyways, the entrance was absolutely GORGEOUS. It's a little too humid outside right now or else I'd sit outside in the patio, because the ambience looks so pretty back there.
Now to the food. I didn't take a picture of the "Parker'z Shrimp", but trust me ORDER THAT. ITS SOO GOOD. The sauce is to die for. (10/10)
Now the entrees, I ordered the Parker'z Pasta with grilled salmon. SO good they give you so much food with a huge slab of salmon. Tender and delicious. (9/10)
My boyfriend ordered the mixed platter which I've eaten before. It's good but nothing new to me. Tender soft meats on rice. (7.8/10)
Customer service was well attentive, forgot my drink for a bit, but was a very nice guy. I absolutely loved that he gave his honest opinion about the dishes instead of saying everything is good. He was detailed on which dishes he thought was good and others that were subpar. Made sure we knew what we were getting! Love it
P.S: Although I did absolutely LOVED everything I ate here. I should note that when I got home. I got hives on my arms. (Went away in a couple hours. Bathing in vinegar is my best friend) An ingredient in their signature sauce I probably have a food allergy to. Have no idea what though. It was SO good tho. Sad...
Read moreUpdate: Must Read:I had 5 stars but I recently contacted Parker’s new American restaurant to discuss dietary accommodations for my nephew, who has multiple food allergies. Unfortunately, my interaction with the manager was disappointing. Despite providing an allergy list, the manager questioned the veracity of my concerns, which I found offensive. When I mentioned that my nephew’s allergies required separate cooking methods, the manager seemed unwilling to accommodate, instead emphasizing the restaurant’s policy regarding outside food. This lack of consideration for a child with significant allergies left me feeling discriminated against. As a long-time customer of Cafe Caspian, I expected better service and understanding. The manager’s rudeness and lack of professionalism have led me to express my concerns through this review.
The food was exceptional. I don’t really understand the theme of the restaurant. It jungle with big bears around the restaurant as displays which is cool. However, our server slash hostess Jessica was very knowledgeable and her suggestions did not disappoint, so thank you for her. The music is very cultural however a bit outdated . The only negative would be they don’t give free water! Inflation is hard enough and a free water would help a bit so that was a negative ! Will definitely recommend and hopefully it doesn’t change. This restaurant has been changed numerous of times so hope this ones sticks ! Overall a wonderful experience thanks to all Jessica’s suggestions! Thank...
