My time with LQ was quite the ride....
Getting the chance to have such awesome interactions with each guest, learning their likes and dislikes, answering their questions, and more importantly, knowing their names for a much more personable engagement made it easier to give them "Sed" without being boring and stale.
The first month or so, I'll admit, I was nervous that the regulars wouldn't receive me well or they wouldn't take me seriously since I was new, but I later learned that my preconceived thoughts were false.
I worked only during the weekend, but each time I saw a guest, they made me feel as though I had been there all week and I hadn't missed a thing.
*Big shout out to the AWESOME Front Desk crew: Micah, Nila, and Deon. We held each other down and made sure that the proper information was not just noted, but passed along with each shift change.
Working with each of those special ladies made joining the team an easy feat for me, and I can't thank them enough for the questions that they answered for me, the help they gave to me (without complaints), the pointers I was given, even when I didn't ask, and the countless laughs that we all shared.
Those times can't be bought, and the memories can't be undone. This was my first ever introduction into hospitality, and I may not have been the best or even perfect at fulfilling my role, but it gave me exactly what I needed: "Experience", and for that, I'm grateful for it.
Nonetheless, I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the fact that the Housekeeping staff goes above and beyond the call of duty, and that's on the daily. They don't stop until the job is completely finished and in great shape and condition for the returning guest or the new person (s) that'll be checking in.
LaQuinta, I wholeheartedly appreciate my extended stay with you guys and I wish nothing but peace, positivity, and prosperity in your lives, going forward on your individual journies.
➡️I'd like to dedicate ALL FIVE STARS TO THE BEST GUESTS EVER!!⬅️
**Remember: The Front Desk is where your experience begins and where it concludes, so always be sure to give those special people a warm smile as they give you the ultimate benefit of effortlessly servicing you!

Read moreJuly 2011 The place smelled badly. There are dumpsters near by and the A/C unit seemed as if it was absorbing the outside odors. The whole place was hot and humid, the elevator was super slow and stunk like body odor. The pool was what made me give 3 stars instead of 1 star. I checked in during my lunch break around 1pm. The first room I went into looked as if someone was still in there, with the tv on too. I ran out fast! I dragged my stuff back down and got a 2nd room on a higher floor. That room was messier than the first! I dragged my stuff back down and she gave me an "UPGRADE" lol. It was right next to the elevator. The only upgrade I noticed was a desk to work on and a twin size pull out couch and coffee table. This is not a place I would stay at normally, but my company was too cheap to book us at the Marriott or the Hilton down the street like all the other people at our training seminar. The front desk agent was nice, apologetic, but much too ghetto to be working in front of public (in my opinion) She was talking about personal stuff that she really should not be speaking about to a GUEST.
My neighbor was up at 5am making all kinds of noise and I was super annoyed! I was in town for a few days business and didn't want to wake until 8am. I could hear that person flicking ON and OFF the light switch and what I imagined was that person plugging and unplugging something into the lamp outlet on the desk.
I did like the free beer, wine and cheese after I got back to the hotel, about 7 PM. I was hoping the next door neighbor was gone on my 3rd day, no luck. I heard them at 6am :( I guess they contracted a company to give them the CHEAPEST insulation between rooms. Sucks for guests who want to sleep past 5am!!! I hate rude hotel guests that think they can be loud after hours or BEFORE the crack of dawn. lol That's not the hotel's fault, just lack of insulation is crappy. I wouldn't stay again. It's ok if you have one day or like noisy neighbors. They need...
Read moreFirst off we stayed here because it had high ratings now that we have stayed I know for a fact the workers have to be doing the reviews 1.pool is out for two weeks ok not to bad 2. Small roaches crawling around also not a big deal as long as it's not infested and it wasn't 3. TV wouldn't work not a big deal to me but my kids were pissed about that one 4.AC DIDN'T WORK THAT'S WHERE I DRAW THE LINE!!! So we tell front desk as soon as we noticed he said give me a minute 3 hours later go check what's taking so long it was someone completely different so I tell her the problem again with TV and AC and she gives attitude and that she needs to check for her self like I don't know how to work a TV or a AC she gets up there and she can't figure anything out and says it should be working 😞 so now that the first guy never came we can't get different room everything is booked so the girl actually came through for us otherwise we would have left in the middle of the night it was too hot but she brought us a portable AC it really helped out. The next morning my 17 year old daughter goes down to get breakfast waffles and she tells the lady it keeps getting stuck and the lady tells her with attitude did you spray it did you take it out too early so the lady remakes it and it gets stuck so she uses her hands to remove it after she had been cleaning and sweeping so my kid thought that was gross and she didn't want it and I don't blame her good thing me or my wife weren't there that's not even the icing on the cake while we were gone they came into our room WITH THE DND SIGN to take out the portable AC and to "fix" the AC and TV didn't give us a heads up or call us when we went to confront them and say the AC is still not working they never came to check so we slept in the heat the second night and manager is never there apparently all around it was the worst experience for us we drove 4 hours to be in...
