UPDATE MARCH 2023 Craig's team continues to impress and go above-and-beyond at a reasonably economical price. I've had so many tree trimmers come by that can "do it for $100 cheaper", but either aren't certified arborists, or don't seem to really care about the trees (eg they ask me where to cut, rather than suggest what's healthiest for the tree).
ORIGINAL REVIEW Summer of 2021, Craig (owner of ALS) did an on-site consult shortly after contacting him. I had (6) trees removed, and one large Oak trimmed. I had (3) other companies quote the same work - with nearly identical pricing. I picked ALS because: 1) Craig was the only one that was truly an arborist (not just a "tree trimmer"), and incredibly knowledgeable (more below), 2) their reviews are outstanding, 3) incredibly easy to work with (clear and great communication, quote, quick response, etc.), and 4) competitive price (~$8-900/tree inc. grinding). He outsources the actual cutting & hauling, and the team was great. They arrived on-time, kept the worksite tidy, and were respectful to neighbors (they had to get on their land for some of the work). They placed mulch (from stump grinding) where I asked for it, and were impressive with their speed (~2 days) - and, above all, did it safely! I plan to continue to use ALS for high-limb trimming, and consulting in overall tree health. Craig's knowledge about trees is saving me money. Other people are "tree-trimmers" - Craig is an arborist. He ID'd my trees instantly, and walked around my 1/2 acre lot IDing all my trees. He told me whether they're healthy, and what to watch out for ("this tree drops tiny bits of sap, which can get annoying", "this tree will drop leaves in the fall before others - but don't worry, that's normal and healthy"). He prevented me from removing a beautiful Magnolia that hadn't yet bloomed, which I thought was an ugly Holly! I could go on, but if you have any variety of trees, old trees, or a lot of trees - Craig is a...
Read moreCraig and his team of 7 workers came out to trim my two live oak trees in my front yard on 3/31/2025 and did a great job! The trees had not been pruned since 2019 (5 1/2 years ago) so they were quite overgrown. They lifted the canopy significantly (some branches were at eye level), removed dead, broken and crossover branches, thinned out live overgrowth and created a beautiful symmetrical shape on both trees. Both trees look lighter, airier and much healthier!! They also did soil injections across my whole front lawn to fertilize both trees and my front flower bed. All tree branches and pruned material were hauled away and everything was cleaned up beautifully. Craig is a Board Certified Master Arborist - I truly appreciate his and his team's expertise and I am very pleased with the results of their work! The cost was a little less than the quote I received from one large tree care company and 40% less than another! I highly recommend Craig Graham and his team at Advanced...
Read moreCraig (owner) came out and surveyed our property and listened to our concerns about large limbs that have grown out over our roof, and the roofs of our neighbors' houses on each side. He came up with a solution that would leave us with plenty of shade in our yard and remove the threat of roof damage to the three houses if we get another hurricane or high wind storm. His crew came out on the appointed time and day with all the equipment they needed. They went right to work and removed the problem tree limbs and trimmed the remaining ones to maintain a good shape and provide shade. Part of the crew was trimming while the rest were removing the cut limbs out to the chipper. When they finished with our five trees, they were life in a health condition, with a good shape, and all the debris was removed. I will use ALS again in the future for landscape and tree work and would...
