Bayou City Community Market is now open the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. Lots of vendors. We bought a stuffed crotcheted dinosaur, a couple cups of coffee, one hot cappuccino and an iced peppermint coconut cold brew and a couple loaded tasty gyros. We'll be back. They have a new coffee vendor and they're very good. Blue Butler Coffee. They make very good hot cappuccinos and iced coffee. They also roast their own beans, picked up a 12 ounce bag of Groom's roast, they have a lot of info on their bag, and it's priced reasonably, I'm drinking a cup right now. Lots of other vendors with cool stuff, there was a lot of them considering the weather was supposed to be iffy....we went early and didn't encounter any rain.
This is right after Beryl made its presence felt and a lot of us are still without power. The market was a nice diversion. We enjoyed a couple iced coffee drinks and a bag of beans fromm Little Dreamers Coffee. I enjoyed a Happy Churro, it came chopped up in a cup with cinnamon, sugar, whipped cream and drizzled chocolate with a cherry on top....very tasty and decadent. We picked up 2 and a half dozen Granny's Tameles, half a dozen brisket, a dozen pork, and a dozen spinach with chicken and cream cheese....these are the best tamales. I can get my freshly baked bread, amazing meat and seafood, they've got great farmers with beautiful seasonal produce, so I can skip the grocery store!!
