I was given the task of ordering Shabbat dinner for my very hungry, 6'2", 245 lb boss while he was on a work trip in Houston, Texas this past weekend. A fed boss is a happy boss so I had to get it right. I am not familiar with Jewish tradition so I needed help! I found Oh Mama Kitchen, and she came highly recommended in all of her reviews. Well, Oh Mama is Meital, a super, lovely Israeli woman who held my hand throughout my assignment. My husband and I went on Sunday November 3, 2024 around 1:30pm. We ordered and was immediately offered a seat. The food came out quickly. I ordered the schnitzel with fries and the Israeli salad. My husband ordered the Kabob with rice and salad. We both had pita on the side. It was absolutely AMAZING! All of the food was delicious!! Great food and a welcoming team. We came hungry for a late lunch, the dips with the pita bread were amazing, we took for starters fries, cauliflower, fried tortillas and dip platters - all were amazing, and we enjoyed them very much. For the main course we had some shawarma plates, schnitzel plate and sabich sandwich - this also didn't disappoint, and we enjoyed each of them, for me, the shawarma was amazing and well-made, and the rest of family also loved their dishes.
