Same as the other negative reviews in here. They will withhold your refund as long as possible and ignore after you resolve the “issues”. In my case I was sent copies of checks after I asked about the status. The check had been made out to the incorrect address even though my address was correct on my account and cancellation request. After I pointed that out, the customer service rep said the old check could be cancelled and the address could be corrected. After I confirmed that is what I needed, I received no response and my follow up calls and emails were ignored, I only received a response after I mentioned that I was looking into legal recourse, at which point they sent an email saying “The check is being reissued” it’s been over a month since they told me that and I still have no check and they are back to ignoring my calls and emails. If you attempt to cancel the GAP insurance or extended warranty on their websites, as is their only way, it does not get processed. I called BMW Financial for them to tell me that nothing has been processed from Group 1 and, in fact, Group 1 does not even hold the insurance, SafeGuard does. When calling to find out why money has not been processed, the agent was always one step ahead of my cutting me off. She knew what was going on and it was not her first time. Read moreGroup 1 is engaging in bad business practices bordering on illegal. Long story short I was sold an extended warranty which I since cancelled. Back on August 1 I received confirmation that it was cancelled and check would be mail to the lien holder.
It’s been almost two months. I tried calling the cancellation line no response. Emails go unanswered. I contacted the warranty company and they informed me that they already did and sent the check to Kia South Austin back on August 11th, which is where is purchased.
