Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Houston

they barely got my order right. i placed an order on the app, & they didn't have what i ordered so they just gave me random donuts to replace it instead of calling me to tell me they didn't have what i ordered. i put my number on the app for a reason. they gave me chocolate donut holes & 3 chocolate donuts and i don't like chocolate donuts, & one of them was filled and i hate filled donuts. so they should've called me bc now i paid for something that i dont even like, I knew I should've checked the donuts before I left, but I decided to trust them that they got it right and it turns out that they didn't. if they didn't have what I ordered, they should have just put more than one of what they did have so that at least it would, for sure be a donut that I like ... but just because it was assorted half a dozen for some reason, they thought that they all had to be different. But now there's half of them that I don't like. This is ridiculous, why would they put random donuts without knowing if I would like it or not so now I just...

This happened to me today during my lunch break. I arrived when no customers were in the location. The only employee there was on her cell phone. I waited for several minutes until I figured out the call she was on was of a personal nature, since she was mentioning to her friend that she was working a double shift (covering for a co-worker) also that someone had broke into the restaurant recently and all but one of the cashier registers were broken, and that she recently was in a car accident. When I noticed that her personal call was taking too long, i discretely interrupted since I didn’t have much time left from my break. When I got my kolache, I noticed that it was a bit warm, almost cold. I asked her if it can be heated for a few seconds and she mentioned that they don’t have a microwave in their location. It was a double disappointment. Honestly, i was not expecting this from a chain restaurant like...

☆☆☆☆☆ Usually when we stop at Shipleys for a sweet treat and only order a few donuts, they just throw them in a bag and the toppings are stuck to the sides and you gotta lick the bag (lol jk) but not at this location!! The older woman packed our donuts with care by putting them in boxes this time and that meant so much to my husband and I. I wish I had gotten her name for this review, dang it. I had the filled bar with pecans and it hit the spot, my husband had the "Homers" (pink sprinkes) as he calls them and they were fresh too, omg DELISH!! Definitely recommend this Shipleys for your sweet tooth needs. #useappfreefood ☆☆☆☆☆ Added Edit: we went around 5pm on a Friday.
