I am disabled and have to take my backpack with me every where because it contains my medication and other essential item I need.. This was my first time shopping at Sellars brothers so I was pretty excited about the sale. The 'Manager" and I say it with disdain was very rude from the beginning when I first came in the store and asked about a cart to ride in.. The security guard approached me about my backpack I explained to him that it was my purse because I was disabled and carried all the things I needed in it..he then comes back with the same rude lady who then tells me that the security guard would have to look in my backpack when I left because I didn't leave it at the front I told her absolutely not.. Mind you I am trying to stay calm and not get upset for health reasons... She then tell the security guard to follow my fiance and I around the entire store while we shop we still are keeping our cool.. I tell her I will be calling corporate on her Friday which is tomorrow.. She then precedes to call the police for no reason... My fiance and I was so angry we of course didn't purchase anything from that store I feel she was being racist as the store catered to Hispanic people and I am black. It really is zero stars, but I need to pic at least one to write this report and I will definitely make sure I speak with corporate first thing...
Read moreI stopped by this Sellers Bros for a couple cases of avocados. This was my first time at the store; I'd never been there before. I politely asked a gentleman stacking produces if he had any in the back so I don't have to pick through the ones on display. I've done this many times before at other stores and they have always been happy to sell me cases...I mean, why wouldn't you want to sell your produce?? The man snapped at me and said whatever they have out is all they have. So I asked if he could help me find boxes. He ignored me. So I found boxes on my own. As I'm approaching the avocados, he cut me off and told me there was a $3 limit. Shocked, I just left the store. I called them to see if I can get a manager, they ended up transferring me around and the same guy answered the phone. He snapped at me and told me there's a $3 limit and hung up the phone.
I called several other Sellers Bros in Houston and they all told me that they didn't have a problem selling me cases. I won't be stopping at this Sellers Bros ever again. I'll go to Sellers Bros that...
