El Pupusodromo — Restaurant in Houston

I have just been introduced to my new favorite dish, mariscada. After a hard night of drinking I mentioned to a friend that soup is my favorite hangover food. We discussed our favorite soups and he told me about mariscada. I searched the internet for a place to order mariscada and found El Pupusodromo. It was a cute little restaurant. Very nicely decorated. Note the ladies working did not speak English at all but it was ok it was nothing that google translate could not fix. I got my soup and it was the best soup ever. They did not skimp on the seafood. It even had a whole crab in it. The price was pretty reasonable. The soup was full of fish shrimp crab and coconut milk. It was only $15. My friend said he loved it too. He said he normally gets it with habanero and onions. Next time I will ask for onions and habanero. I recommend El Pupusodromo and can't...

My mom wanted to eat sopita and we were in this part of town, so we were driving by when she saw “El Pupusodromo” and she said, let’s go there! So we did. The food is very good, with that home taste we all like. The are to be honest is not the best, but the food is delicious and the service is great. My mom got Caleo de Gallina and I got Caldo de Res, it was a cold day, so these papitas really hit the spot. They brought these long and thick slices of tortillas they make (Salvadorian food) with a creamy cilantro dip, we loved it. They have “Agua de frutas” which basically is a combination of fruits and it was the best I have tried. We also order some pupusas to go for dinner! That how good...

They left a great and unforgettable impression to my family of 5 and I. We always ordered out and this day we chose to eat in! Best decision we could have ever made on a hungry Friday evening. The staff was exceptionally friendly and serviceable. The food was such a pleasure to eat, so good that it felt sin, LOL! They gave us an opportunity to try new things and even customized plates for my three girls. My wife loved the waitress as they even became well a known.
