SEPHORA — Local services in Houston

I have been to Sephora locations all over the US and Europe. They have always been wonderful. At this location the service was HORRIBLE!!! I told them when I walked in that I wanted to buy brow products from Anastasia of Beverly Hills, and that I needed help because I had never used those products before. A very rude young man who was clearly bothered by the fact that he had to help me, demonstrated by the colors he applied on me that he knew nothing about the product line. After he left me looking like a freak with a hideously dark brow color (I am a blonde), he walked away. Since it’s not Halloween and wasn’t going for that look, I scrubbed everything off, and spent the rest of the time on the Anastasia of Beverly Hills website, trying to figure out what color I needed and what kind of brush I needed. I could have done just as well buying off the Internet. I had also said that I wanted to buy products from Charlotte Tilbury and he waved his hand in the general direction of the front of the store and said “ If you want products from Charlotte Tilbury , they’re up there.” I looked for a long time for the product I needed, but I couldn’t find it. Perhaps I am mistaken, but I go into a Sephora store so that I can get help with products I am not familiar with. Don’t expect it at this location. I had an amazing time at this store on Saturday. After an eyebrow threading appointment elsewhere that left me a little traumatized, I dashed to Sephora the following day in need of help. I'm a makeup novice and am just figuring things out, and I had no idea how to do eyebrows (I wanted to fill in bare spots, make them look more even, etc). I ended up doing a makeup session with Janie, who, in addition to recommending a brow pen that's been absolutely perfect and teaching me everything i needed to know, was exceedingly patient with me while I worked through my eyebrow trauma. She showed me how to achieve the natural look I was going for and I left feeling so much better. I was honestly shocked at how dreadful my eyebrows could make me feel, and the very kind people at this store were exactly what I needed when I was down...

I typically really enjoy this location, I've never had any issues. Except I visited this past week, and was checked out by James. He seemed bothered to have to take my purchase. Irritated and semi-rude, just overall agitated. He didn't even bother asking me if anyone helped me, not sure what his problem was, but it definitely made me not want to revisit this location.
