Soft grounds playground for younger children. Kids 8 and older may not find this park as fun as the younger ones. But for parents looking for shade in the heat, this is a good spot since the picnic tables are shaded and so is some of the playground. However, parents need be cautious of sketchy folks wandering and loitering about the park area. Also a plus is an open baseball field, tennis courts, and a small circular trail adjacent to the playground. Read moreThis park is operated by the Metropolitan Multi-Services Center and is great for kids, but Excellent for children that are begining to walk on their own or children with walking limitations. The center works with children with physical disabilities and offers much more than the park. But, the park includes relatively level, wide surfaces and ramps throughout the play ground to make it more accessible. The park includes some artificial shading, picnic tables, and has a rubber/cork floor. We didn't see the hours the park is open, but it's independent from the Center and is most likely open...
Read moreWe go for the unique and super safe ADA playground. But lots of people bring their dogs too (which they really aren’t supposed to based on the rules posted). Lots of people go for tennis, too. And it’s nice that bathrooms are generally available if you’re there during fairly normal hours. The sidewalk is a great place for a kid to learn to scooter.
Biggest improvements to the playground would be more shade (there are no trees) and ideally to have some swings.
