Edit: Absolutely nothing has changed here and it’s gotten worse. My mail carrier sometimes pulls my outgoing mail off my clip and writes “do not write on mail!!!” When I write return to sender. The staff inside is unbelievably rude and disrespectful to nearly everyone. From the beginning of interactions, nothing even needs to escalate. And often on their phones or having inappropriate conversations loudly.
Original: The staff at this location is incredibly rude. No other location I've ever visited has been this bad. This location wasn't always this bad either, I'm not sure when it changed. I've seen so many people disrespected and embarrassed for absolutely no valid reason when shipping packages here. The staff treats everyone like they're idiots wasting their time, and if your stuff isn't packaged and ready to go then you're SOL. And don't even ask for a strip of tape...dear lord, buy a roll or leave is their policy. Often the mail I send in the boxes here doesn't make it to the final destination and I have to resend payments or requests.
As far as mail delivery from this location goes - good luck. There are weeks that I have mail in my box daily. There are weeks that I have no mail delivered for several days in a row and then I'll get a huge stash of mail suddenly. I received Christmas cards and early December party invitations in my box in January. One friend said he'd mailed his in November, a family member mailed her child's party invites out December first, and she lives one zip over in 092. I got it the first week of January. I also have had issues where they'll deliver my mail but won't take the mail clipped to the front of the box. My delivery person will raise the lid and stuff my mail in my box, but won't pull the clipped mail from the front that's outgoing. That's always fun when I have to remove it myself and drive to a box to send it out. But other days he takes it, no problem. There is no rhyme or reason to delivery.
As far as receiving packages - same, good luck. They come sometimes, other times they don't. Your neighbor may receive them, who knows. The USPS also has a nice habit of readdressing my packages and delivering them to a random address that they can not provide to me. They just decide that the address isn't correct and they're going to fix it for me. So I never receive my package and it's left to me and the business I ordered from to replace...
Read moreSomething is seriously wrong at this USPS location on Judiway in Houston (77018)—and based on countless similar reviews, I’m not the only one noticing it.
Let’s get straight to the point: Why is it that junk mail arrives without fail, but valuable packages mysteriously go “missing” time and time again? This isn’t bad luck. This isn’t a simple mistake. This is a pattern.
Recently, I checked my mailbox expecting an important delivery. Instead, I found opened mail with no envelope—just loose papers inside. That’s a serious breach of trust and raises real concerns about mail tampering or worse.
But this is far from the first issue. I have had multiple valuable packages marked as “delivered” that never arrived. Every time I call to report it, I go through the same frustrating cycle: • I escalate the case. • I receive a case number. • I wait for an update that never comes. • And then, magically—the case gets closed with no resolution.
It’s almost as if employees here know there are no real consequences. Customers get exhausted fighting the system, and whoever is responsible for these “disappearances” is left with the package.
The problem isn’t just lost mail. It’s the attitude inside this post office. The staff are dismissive, rude, and completely uninterested in helping customers. If you go in-person, expect eye rolls, unhelpful responses, and a slip of paper with a number on it—like that’s supposed to fix anything.
And it’s not just me. Look at the other reviews. How many more complaints about missing packages, unprofessional staff, and ignored cases will it take before higher-ups investigate this location?
If you are expecting a valuable package, watch out. If you’ve lost one already, speak up. And if anyone at USPS corporate is reading this—the community...
Read moreUSPS — PLEASE FIX THESE BASIC ISSUES.
Although most of the actual employees in front are really nice, if tax dollars are used to pay the employees they should not be allowed to lock the door and close at 4:50 pm everyday, barring a natural disaster or technical difficulties sparingly. The same goes for the broken or inoperable basic equipment. I do understand they are very busy though and will always refer prepaid labeled packages to be dropped off outside using the SSK (self serve kiosk) & package drop. However, the package drop is CONSTANTLY stuck and the people that work the side door (with the doorbell on it) will NOT answer you after 4:40 pm. So even if the SSK was always turned on & working, which it was NOT, there is no location to physically drop your package safely. Myself and a few other customers asked the employees at the side door to please fix the stuck drop door before 5 pm. They would not even open the door over a 30-45 min period, they were only responding to us by yelling from behind the door. When I knocked on the door to let them know it was still stuck at 5:02 pm all I got was someone yelling “we’re closed! Damn”. Besides not being professional, they had been asked nicely multiple times, by multiple people, way before closing time.
USPS PLEASE keep up with this basic maintenance — fix the package drop so that it is not stuck all the time and make sure your SSK is updated/fixed in a timely manner when needed. If you require receipts to prove drop off for package claims, you need to provide a reasonable and reliable way for customers to obtain them. I know I am not the only person who relies on this system to make a living. I’d so appreciate it and update my rating if these issues are...
