I'm always keeping an eye out for the Hot & New restaurants popping up in town. Most of them occur ITL however, since I moved I only get to explore these new places either at lunch so it needs to be near my office or out in the burbs of the South East!
So I was beyond excited when I found out that this place was taking over the old bizkit junkie location.
When I pulled into their lot, I remembered, this lot sucks. It's one of those lot that has only 1 way driving/parking. This isn't an issue except the drive way to pull in puts you going the wrong way, so you really need to know which aisle is which direction. The 2nd time I came back I realized my orientation of the lot, but noticed other drivers struggling with that problem.
Once inside, the space has basically remained the same from the previous restaurant.
You order at the counter and the menu board is up above.
I've tried almost all of the meat empanadas and only the guava as far as the fruit/dessert ones.
So far my favorite has been the shredded beef. I like it in both the traditional crust and the post pastry crust. It's better than the rest because it comes with a little bit of a sauce which keeps it from being too dry. The guava has been delicious, so I haven't changed my order.
My only complaint so far is that they come about room temp. I wish they came out HOT!
Beyond that, I am glad we have a few more eating options...
Read moreI seldom write negative reviews but I am so upset I need to inform you of my experience today. We walked into the store @ noon and it was empty. There was an employee working on some juicing and did not acknowledge our presence even though she knew we were there. While we looked at the menu and made a decision about 3-4 minutes went by. We asked the employee about who was taking orders. She abruptly answered it was her and it will be a minute. Keep in mind we had already been waiting 3-4 minutes Realizing that was not right (my companion and I walk with canes) she turned around and asked for our order. Once we asked for beef empanadas she rattled the empty tray and saidâ we donât have anyâ. She did not look at the case behind her or asked the back employee. Her tone of voice was offensive so I asked her if she had a problem. She said something like âwe had been rude to her!!! All I said was who is taking the order. She could have easily finished the juicing after we left because there was not a soul in there but us. This is the first time in many years of patronage that I have been treated in this manner. If this is typical of the future service that will be provided at your store I will make sure never to return and to...
Read moreI Ordered online to 8:35 and input the option to pick up ASAP because I had a busy morning and this store was on my commute, I received an email that my order was ready for pick up at 8:55 I got there at 9:15 and was told I had to wait an additional 20 minutes because my order wasnât ready because they had barley saw the order. Then she started talking about an order That wasnât even mine! I requested my money back and as soon as I said that she said itâll only take a minute. After waiting i got my order, the most ridiculous part of it is that SHE DIDNT GIVE ME MY FULL ORDER. I had to call and ask for my money back for the empanada I didnât receive, itâs the inconvenience of it all thatâs distasteful. Honestly why have online order options if itâs being neglected? It really is a waste of time. ADVICE TO ANYONE MAKING AN ONLINE ORDER! DONT EVEN BOTHER, YOU MIGHT AS WELL WAIT IN LINE YOULL GET YOUR FOOD QUICKER! The empanadas are good donât get me wrong! I would recommend the empanadas! Just the online issue being neglected is a...
