If you care about your health, professionalism and HIPPAA then RUN!!!!! I arrived on a Sunday morning. The girl at check-in couldn't have been any less pleasant then someone with an untreated UTI. It looked painful for her to smile let alone have compassion. Which was Not what you would expect from somebody that has stickers on her face. I thought maybe I was overreacting until I caught the eye of another patient that had checked in with her. After the same treatment the patient looked at me and rolled her eyes. My name was called pretty quickly and I headed into the exam room. The patient in the waiting room told me good luck. The medical assistant was nice enough. While I was in the room alone I heard a gentleman yelling at his son on the phone that he would lose his basketball practice if he did not listen. The father got all the way up to 30min as he was screaming his son's name (which I wont write in). I was hoping that the father would close the door to the exam room. To yell at his kid like a regular parent. Until I heard the medical assistant going back and forth with whom I thought was the father over a trash barrel and a staff member that touched it. The father responded saying I don't know why he is even here. He shouldn't be here. Now under the assumption this is not a patient but a staff member. Normally employees would keep office drama in the back somewhere. At least not where patients could hear. Moments later the exam room door opened and I heard the familiar voice that was both yelling at his son and talking about another employee. Luckily enough this was the doctor. He came in hit my back twice told me I had kidney stones and needed an ultrasound. He gave me an order for an ultrasound. Nowhere is going to take an order to another facility without doing an exam prior but it was a nice gesture. Prior to leaving he had a teachable moment with the Medical assistant as to the difference of between an order and a referral. On my way to my car I decided to go to another urgent care and not wait. Luckily I did because I was diagnosed with a blood clot. Needless to say a Massachusetts medical facility is not far from this. Save yourself the...
Read moreI came here about 1.5-2 months ago to get a flu test and strep test while on my break at work (thinking it would be an in and out thing). I provided my insurance card upon arriving without any mention that it wasn’t taken. I was only tested for strep at first and Waited maybe 15 minutes for those results. Then I asked for a flu swab (which I thought was also being checked because I had mentioned flu was going around at work). They said it would be 10 minutes for those results. It took another 30ish minutes. While waiting, I could hear staff (including the Doctor I was waiting for) outside the door all chatting about their personal lives . Between the waiting room, answering demographic questions, and waiting for results I was in the office for over an hour. Mind you, I had only seen one other patient. A few weeks later, I received a bill in the mail for $360 for the two tests. I called and left a message for the office to follow up about the bill and to ask if they didn’t take my insurance. There was no returned call. I had written a review about my experience and received a call back that day, and was told the bill was a mistake and would be fixed. I removed the review thinking it was resolved but received another message today after a few weeks that I still owed $360. Overall I was very dissatisfied with my experience. I feel it would have been common sense by staff to make mention if insurance is not taken but also to do both the tests at once. There is a lack of communication and consideration here and would not go back. If ConvenientMD is an option for...
Read moreI showed up 10 minutes before closing (having called previously to say I was on my way). I forgot my wallet but luckily had been to the urgent care in Chelmsford so I was in the system. The front desk was willing to accept a picture of my passport as identification. I was taken back very quickly and seen. It was confirmed that I had a ruptured ear drum. This made me cry but the doctor was comforting and tried to tell me it would be ok and “these things happen”. He wrote up my perscription for ear drops and nausea. The only thing was the prescription order did not contain the dosage or how to use said medication so the pharmacy did not want to fill it. I also was unhappy about the MDM notes on my discharge paperwork because the way it was written made it sound like it was my fault rather than an accident. 4 starts given for excellent customer service and a willingness to help a...
