I did not visit the By The Pound side, there was a long line for that and digging through bins is not my thing. Also, the very helpful & friendly woman working the door explained that typically the stuff on the By The Pound side is the leftover stuff that doesn't sell on the regular retail side. On the retail side, the staff was very nice & the store was clean, however that's where the positives end. There was a large selection of women's clothes, but barely any men's clothes. I was specifically looking for a pair of men's jeans to distress, there were literally only 5 pair of jeans, no exaggeration. Also, most items do not have a price on them. The racks all say "$6 and up" but only a few items have price tags. The rest have a color coded plastic tag, but there's no chart anywhere to tell you what each color means. I asked two other shoppers and no one seemed to know. They said you find out how much it is when you get to the register. The things that did have a price on them were wayyy over priced for used items, especially in the shape they were in. I can buy a brand new basic tshirt at Target for $10, why would I buy a faded, stretched out, used item for the same price? I did see a few furniture items that were in good shape & reasonably priced, but also some fabric chairs that were so dirty they should be embarrassed to try to sell to anyone. Walking through the homegoods I saw a crockpot with food spatter all over it, so clearly they don't even attempt to clean the donated items before selling them. A small picture frame covered in dust for $8? It's been a long time since I've been in a thrift store, but I'm used to an item like that being 1 or 2 dollars. I doubt that frame cost $8 when it was new! They did have a lot of books & DVDs that were priced fairly, and some vinyl records, though I didn't see a price on those. Overall, this place was not my cup of tea, I will likely...
Read moreAbsolutely Terrible Experience â Avoid This Location! WAY OVERPRICED for the JUNK! There is no good antiques no video games. I brought my 84-year-old father here, and he was yelled at by an employee in an orange vest named âRandyâ simply for accidentally stepping past an unmarked âline.â How is a new customer supposed to know where the line is if itâs not clearly explained or marked? Thatâs no way to treat anyone, let alone a paying customer.
The staff here speak to customers as if weâre beneath themâthereâs no respect, no courtesy, and no effort to provide a welcoming environment. Itâs shocking how they think itâs acceptable to raise their voices at people who are just trying to shop.
The overall management of this place is a complete mess. Most employees seem disengagedâstanding around or on their phonesâwhile one overwhelmed cashier is left to handle the entire line. The merchandise is grossly overpriced for the quality, which is mostly junk, and the shopping environment feels chaotic and unprofessional.
Frankly, this location reflects very poorly on the Goodwill brand. I will surely not be back nor my...
Read moreThe Buy the Pound: Go in with your head down and don't worry about the other shoppers, and especially don't look to see what others have that you've missed. I've always found great things. The rules about not leaving carts against the wall is not enforced. Yesterday there was a couple who had 7 carts full against the wall. I saw them go to them once while I was there. There were NO carts to be had for any new customers because many folks were hogging them. I was lucky enough to get the last empty cart in the hall, and I shared with the person who came with me who had to wait 1/2 hour to get one. It should be one cart per person and when it's full, you pay, take your stuff to your vehicle and then use the same cart again. An employee made an announcement that someone's items on the floor needed to be removed 'that's why we have carts'. A few minutes later, that employee put all the stuff back into a bin. It wasn't fair to that buyer who did not have a cart, yet others had more than...
