All I needed was to make an appointment to get blood work done. I walk in, told the desk I need to make an appointment for the following week because I didn't fast (which I thought was a pretty common task to ask of a receptionist???), and she pointed at a tablet around a corner to do that on OR to log into a client portal. Turns out the tablet I used set me up for an appointment at that very moment, so I thought she just misunderstood me.
Now I'm stuck, walk back up to the desk, and instead of getting off the chair and doing anything except side-eyeing me, she just said to go back over and hit the help button.
While I'm trying to embarrassingly figure all of this out myself, I can hear her and the other receptionist talking OUT LOUD about me. I wasn't rude to them at all, I was just lost and had no idea what to do and needed guidance. I'm 24, these women looked middle aged, and so I walked out and told them that I could hear everything they said.
I was maybe 5 feet away from you and you think I couldn't? I've never had something like that happen to me, and I am so nice to service people because I've been there! I'm blown away by the rudeness, unprofessionalism, and how they thought I wouldn't be able to hear them. I still need an...
Read moreI love Dr Gerlach. Since UH has taken over this office the patient treatment quality has declined to now non-existent. I call over and over again regarding what I believe to be a serious health condition per the specialist that my dr referred me to and all I get is a "triage voicemail box". No returned phone call as promised by the numerous staff members who I kept checking in with as the hours of the day passed. This new system may work for some but once I get clarity on this last health matter I will regretfully find a new Pcp :( Never have I felt so disrespected by a situation that I am lead to believe is serious enough that even the specialists office called me many times - checking to see what I had learned. As they discovered I wasn't even given the courtesy of a simple phone call they too started calling my pcp's office. They were reaching the same staff members that I was and being told I would be contacted before the day ended at the latest. It's 2:33am..... Here I am still waiting for that...
Read moreEveryone here has always been so kind and helpful, and I will always appreciate that. Daddy saw Dr. Cash. Mother and I saw / I still see Dr. McCallum. Mother has passed away the year after Daddy unexpectedly died. Both physicians are exceptionally knowledgeable and equally intelligent, but without the ego some physicians display (because they have the confidence to not need to act that way). They take all the time you need, will call, and the staff from front desk to nurses will do the same. In fact, if I couldn't get Daddy to take his pills, he would listen to Betty whenever I called asking for her help! I don't mind leaving a message (as some have commented on that aspect of the office). It allows me to state my reason for calling, and it gives them time to respond accordingly if they need to ask the doctor a question pertaining to the call. They call right back. I have the highest admiration and respect for all there and would give...
