I do not recommend this place for first time butcher goers with any level of moderate or high anxiety.
Although many stellar reviews about this place, we unfortunately did not receive the same amazing service as others. Unsure if discrimination or just pure annoyance at us for our inexperience in butchery lingo. (This review is also purely based on the service and not necessarily the quality of the meat).
My wife and I had decided to check this place out, and we were quite excited but nervous about going to a butcher for the first time ever.
The process was extremely confusing and nerve-racking.
First, we were never asked if it was our first time at a butcher shop in case we needed extra patience or care. We also come from a non-wasteful meat kind of family where any cut of meat is used for any sort of dish and have 0 idea of how to describe what way we want meat to be cut. So naturally, when we entered the doors and tried to explain what we wanted, there was confusion on what kind of meat we wanted to use and how it'd be cut as again, we used pretty much everything for anything.
When we finally selected a meat, we ran into problems during the cutting process. I wanted thinly sliced beef for a salad, but I was unsure of how to explain that properly to a butcher. She showed us an initial cut piece of how she assumed we'd like it cut, and we accidentally said yes at first due to anxiety. While she was cutting, we wanted to ask if she could cut those pieces even more than that, but she took out an entirely new piece of meat to cut and looked visibly upset at us and rudely told us she won't cut it the way I want because of our mistake of being confusing. I found that to be completely unnecessary because she pretty much cut the pieces really well, she just had to turn those already-cut pieces into smaller pieces. We had no intention of wasting what she had already cut or mean to disrespect her.
While I admit we contributed to the confusion, we did not like how the butcher reacted to the situation and did not help explain anything to us or try to reach understanding with our goals. Our ideal butcher vision was being able to go into a butcher, explain what dish you want to create, have the butcher try to understand what dish you're trying to make, recommend the best meats for those, and cut the perfect piece for you. Isn't it part of a butcher's job to explain meat to people not well-versed in meat?
We will not be coming back here or recommend their services to anyone, especially if it'd be your first time or if you have anxiety. To the owners reading this, you may spin this story how you want it and let the customers believe what they want to believe. I'm just leaving a review in case anyone cares to believe in our seemingly one-off experience here out of the countless...
Read moreExcellent quality beef. I picked up a 2" dry aged new york strip and a ~1.5lb dry aged prime porterhouse today and I couldnt be happier. The customer service was great, the atmosphere was very wild wild west/homestead/pioneer with the cow shaped bbqs out front and the wooden accents everywhere.
The marbling on the ny strip was possibly the best I've ever seen. When I opened the package at home, I seriously thought that they gave me a cut of wagyu. At the price-point, I'm kicking myself for not buying more.
The customer service was great, the prices are better than you'd expect, and they offer to season your steak with what I'm guessing is their proprietary seasoning blend. I hadn't encountered something like this before but based on this one experience I'll definitely be back in the future. Happy to say I finally have a quality butcher within half an hour of my home.

I discovered this place about a year ago and it is now where I buy all my meats. The quality of the various meats they carry is always excellent. The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. It's always a pleasure to head over to the "Palace" as I know I'll be getting excellent quality eats and service.
The Beef Palace is a cash only place - no credit or debit purchases. They do have an ATM in the store for those who are running on plastic otherwise. And they do take checks.
Aside from the traditional selection of meats, the Beef Palace also carries fish and breads and seasonings galore for every taste.
The shop is conveniently located, easy to access, and has ample parking in the mall's lot in front of the store.
I recommend this place highly! Excellent quality, excellent prices, and...
