My two chihuahuas GiGi and Apple passed away recently within a year of each other. They were my heart and soul. Their loss absoultely devastated me. My sister had a necklace made with closebyme when her beloved dog passed away a few years ago, so I knew I wanted to do the same with my babies. I decided to go with a gold double pendant so that I could have each of my girls with me, but together in one necklace. I was drawn to closebyme not just because my sister bought from them and had a great experience, but when you search for cremation jewelry online, many, if not most, of the jewelry does not show the actual ashes. I wanted to be able to see their ashes as a reminder of them and to feel closer to them, and this jewelry does that.

Communication with Gina was incredible. She is so kind and takes the time to personally write to you; she shows she truly does care--you're not just another customer. This jewelry is the most special anyone can buy and sending off your loved one's ashes is emotionally difficult (the physical process with their kit is streamlined and easy), but Gina ensures the ashes are safe with her when they arrive and that your jewelry is made with love, care, and consideration of your loss, which is just as important as the final product itself.

My necklace turned out beautifully. I got each dog's name engraved on the back of their respective circle pendant and it's comforting having them so close. The jewelry is subtle and simple, yet gorgeous and so meaningful. The first day I wore it I received multiple compliments on it and when telling my friends what it actually was, they were amazed and one friend even cried at how beautiful and meaningful the necklace was.

I lost my father a year ago and per his wishes he wanted to be cremated and charter out to mile marker three to spread his ashes. My friends that I have told absolutely love it, said its the most tasteful piece they have seen using the ashes of a loved one. Having lost me beloved father earlier this year, I wanted my mother to have a lasting personal piece of jewellery which would be a constant reminder of him.
