Walgreens — Local services in Huntington Beach

If you want to die & are having an upcoming surgery procedure & want to suffer then go here! Horrific horrible service at the pharmacy! So I’ve been coming to Walgreens for over 5 years. I have to go 1-3x a month because I take prescriptions daily. If I could give this place and the actual pharmacist no stars I would! “KRISTY OR KRISSY “ the main pharmacist is the most rude, unprofessional, cruel, inhumane, not even a person in my book! She is literally literally literally a cruel, careless, cold, heartless gut wrenching pain in the a* B! She has told me serval times when I did come into her store a few times to get my script which is right down the street from my regular Home pharmacy on Brookhurst and edinger that “you cant get your scripts here so you can call your Dr. and tell her to send them to your home store bc I won’t fill it” when I ask her why she won’t fill it and why the insurance tells me that this is my pharmacy and according to the laws and rules I have an actual paper stating “that I can go to any Walgreens I want bc they are my home pharmacist in general that I’m locked in with, By the state of CA.” So she just doesn’t want to fill them bc she doesn’t feel like it! However, aside from her being cruel, heartless and a b* she is not professional at allllll. She was working at my Home store yesterday and threatened me stating “if you call me one more time or don’t leave me alone I will not fill your medication at ALL! “ even tho my dr sent in the script along w/ new directions she stated that she didn’t feel comfortable feeling my meds until tomorro morning cuz for no good reason other then to get off.... on being cruel and holding my meds til the am so she makes it known that she is the one w/ all the POWER ONLY SO SHE cld get her jolly’s off!!! I mean my Dr. okayed to fill yesterday and my dr even had changed the directions for me bc I have two surgery’s this week so my meds were increased which was the story from the beginning and kristy then stated that “so now you and ur dr are making up stories and she stated out loud so everyone could hear about my problem and health problems!!! She said that I was changing my story when all along I was telling her the same truth that I was trying to convey from the get! But she legitimately wanted me to suffer only for what I can imagine is for her own good. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE EVER NOT ANYWHERE HAD BEEN TREATED WITH SUCH DISRESPECT, HATE, unkindness, dark cruel, heartless behavior!!!! I literally will never understand why she is the way she is but if you have a choice to go somewhere else I suggest you do! I can’t believe this woman has a job dealing w/ sick people, people who need medications, people who need help getting over the counter supplies, customers service just in general at all I CNT believe this is the kind of woman they chose to be a part of there staff. She should not only be fired but she shouldn’t be in the Pharmcy business AT ALL, I hope to god that someone sees this before it’s too late!!!!!! She needs serious serious serious help, take a course on how to treat customers and how to help people who need help with there medications and people who have physical conditions such as me or have a terminal Illness Like cancer, or anyone else for that matter who have CPS, lupus, R.A., Parkinson’s, aids, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, ADHD, or any kind of physical or mental health condition she should not be able or allowed to serve customers at all! I hope to god she takes a class and gets some kind of training before it’s too late or has to serve someone w/ diabetes or high blood pressure bc they would for sure dye under her pharmacist care! Bc she would just threaten them and tell them to leave her alone or if u call me again I won’t dispense any meds to you at all! I hope and pray this never happens! Hope this helps you. My son had bronchitis and was very sick. I took him to the hospital and they said he had bronchitis and gave him a report stating that he should miss 3 days of school and rest at home. He was coughing a lot. At the hospital, the doctors put him on a respirator and discharged him home after they cleared his breathing. The hospital wrote the prescription and told me to get the medication and give it to my son as soon as possible. We left the hospital at 10:45pm and went to the nearest pharmacy, the 24-hour Walgreens in Huntington Beach, to get my son's medication. The doctor gave him a tablet and an inhaler spray.

At 11pm there were 2 girls working in the pharmacy and I asked them to prepare my son's prescription and they told me to come and pick it up in 2 hours. I asked why it would take 2 hours for them to give me a ready-made tablet and a ready-made inhaler, and they told me they had a lot of work. I told them that I didn't ask them not to create medicine for my son or to build rockets into space. I just asked them to provide me with the medicines that were already available.

One of the employees told me that if you want your medication, come back 2 hours later and get it, if you don't want it, go somewhere else, I think her name is Angela or something like that. I heard them calling each other. I told them again that my son was very sick and that there was no one else in the queue right now. The employee with black hair wearing colored lenses told me that you can pick up 2.5 hours later now. I just wanted to express the situation there for 2 minutes. Just because I asked them a question, they postponed me to come and get it after 2.5 hours and said it was best to go somewhere else again.

I came to you because it was 11 at night and you are open 24 hours, I said I need to give my son his medication as soon as possible because he coughs a lot and my son cannot sleep because of coughing. A big man came out from behind and told me to go get his medication somewhere else. I was shocked when I heard this and said I will complain about you. 3 employees told me to go and complain wherever you are and went inside. I have never seen such rude people together in my life. I have never come across such disrespectful and immoral employees in my life. As Walgreens, I suggest you audit your 24-hour pharmacies and determine how the employees there are humiliating a big company like Walgreens. And I suggest you eliminate the employees who humiliate the name and prestige of a big branded company like Walgreens as soon as possible. It does not suit you to have such employees in your...

This review is for the pharmacy. Ordered at home COVID tests online, had a confirmation screen which thank goodness I took a screenshot of. Was told to go pickup after two hours, went there after 4 and they didn’t have the order. OK, so website is glitchy. But the pharmacist helping me was not very nice. She’s questioning me like I’m the problem and good thing I had the confirmation screen. She had my DL and insurance card and tried to question my last name not matching, though it did, her eyes couldn’t tell the difference between an M versus and N. Her overall demeanor was a bit abrupt and rude. Others waiting in line complaining it’s always a wait at this Walgreens. Learned my lesson, I normally go to the one on Warner for the rapid COVID test and they are always quick and friendly so I would imagine inside would be the same whereas at this Walgreens the pharmacists seem to be running from the rapid test window to whatever it is they are doing and they seemed flustered.

Downgraded my review. Was texted the order was ready, had to stand in line about twenty minutes to get it, it wasn’t ready, had to wait about 10 more minutes and got my stuff in a crumpled up bag with a hole in it.
