Hutch Bowl — Local services in Hutchinson

I went here to go bowling with a few friends and the first time was wonderful. The staff were kind and helpful and our game and food were also good. The second time however was a complete disaster. When I was getting our lane set up with the bumpers I was treated very rudely and was told that my friend and I were too old for bumpers as we were adults. I corrected him and informed him that I in fact was a child he insisted that I could not have the bumpers up. I then reiterated to the employee that I am a child with autism, and I have issues with hand eye coordination. He then began to laugh at me to which I was very confused and then asked if he could just put the bumpers on.

He then put our lane's bumpers up and continued laughing as he did so. That interaction left a bitter taste in my mouth and I spoke to another staff member and they offered to get the manager. I said ok and he got the manager. I had high hopes that this situation could be resolved and I could leave with a sense of peace however he walked up with a condescending and argumentative tone as he immediately began telling me that I was not a child and that it did not matter if I had a disability then proceeded to defend the employee who laughed at my disability and his actions. I tried getting a few words in however I was told I was being rude and disrespectful which the people who I was with began to say something about how the manager's behavior was. We walked out with a bad experience and an agreement that we would not be coming back...

We really love going bowling and it's always fun to take our special needs kid, but this time when we went bowling we played one game with our names twice since it was just my son and I , and got charged for two games when we only played one game, And when we were getting rang up I was asking why we got charged twice and (I believe it was the owner), that huffed and me and disrespectfully talked at me. The way he talked down at me is why we gave a two star, I don't like being huffed at and talked at. He was extremely rude and disrespectful to me. I do understand why he charged me twice but the way he talked to me was what put a bad impression on me, and makes me think about not coming back.

For future advise: please don't talk to the customers disrespectfully, customers are the reason why your business is still up...

There are so many things to say. Let’s start with the positives. You can bowl here and it’s not too expensive. That’s about it. This place is not clean in the slightest. The bathroom was disgusting with many things also being broken. All the balls had grease on them from the pizza. They serve. I didn’t see them clean a single shoe that was returned, or handed out while I was there. The place has not been updated since the year 2005. If you want to use the arcade games you have to have coins or cash only. They offer no machine such as an ATM to get cash. When you go to pay for the self-serve bowling it asks for tip. Which is just insane. The customer service is...
