I filed a complaint about this location with the AT&T company for their dishonest sales technique regarding my recent experience at the Dixie Hwy. store location. The whole experience with this store has been a headache since day 1. I was in store mid August to purchase 4 lines to add to my existing internet account. The sales rep Zac appeared friendly however he falsely led us to believe that with my teacher discount I would also be getting free activation on each line. Not only that, we ordered 2 iPhone 15's and were mistakenly given 1 iPhone 24 at first which he corrected the mistake but we had to wait 48 hours to activate the correct phone since he had activated the iPhone 14 so that we had the bundle and save discount promotion. This was fine but the problem came when we discovered that we were charged the activation fees plus the extra activation and return fee for the incorrect iPhone. I went into the store on September 26th, and spoke with Barchelle about this issue and he informed me that I was given false information and he was in the phone to correct this issue and provide me with the promised no activation fee agreement. He told me I would get a refund on the activation fees ($35 x4 lines) and that it would be applied in 7 to 10 business days.
This was also a lie and no credit was given. I FINALLY had to go above their heads and file a complaint with AT&T and they were able to issue a partial refund because the "notes" of this issue were not entered into my account at the store.
To be clear, it is NOT about the money, it's the DISHONEST bait and switch sales techniques they use to get you to sign up and I DO NOT like to be lied to.
This location has lost me as a customer due to their poor integrity of not 1 but 2 employees who say one thing and not follow through.
My warning to potential customers is RECORD their sales pitch so that you have proof for legal reasons and to not believe what they tell you and get everything in writing. This is a shady business technique and you have been warned. I was having trouble with the receiver boxes and remotes and customer service said to take it to a store ( that's not what your suppose to do by the way - tech service should set that up over the phone fyi ) Went to the store and was greeted by Mike. He informed me that was not the way it's done (which by the way I questioned customer service when the said to take it to to store - no sense.) Anyway, I told him I figured as much and was about to leave. Mike offered much appreciated top notch customer service and offered to call for me . I was so busy with things and annoyed by the run around from uverse cust serv I agreed. I received my replacement equipment the next day. Mike's great ! As he was helping me, I watched the customers come in and greet him like an old friend by name and chat to catch up or thank him for helping them . I could have swore he was management. He made such a good impression it made me reflect on the customer service I provide my customers! She also decided to add another whole other line to my plan that had a paid off phone on it(I don’t have the phone) & an extra charge for the line of $48 & change. This was not the line she added for my tablet. That was already a different phone number. So now I’ve been on the phone with customer service for over 30 minutes trying to get this line off my account. DOUBLE CHECK WHAT YOUR SIGNING UP FOR.
