Taco Bell — Restaurant in Independence Charter Township

We just had a horrible experience at this drive thru! This is not the first time we've been disappointed by this location, and we prefer to use the Sashabaw location when we can (it's closed at the moment).

Not only were we asked to wait at the drive thru speaker for almost 5 minutes (not a big deal, it happens! I totally understand if a branch is busy), but we had only one car ahead of us, so obviously this raised a few flags. When the young woman returned to the speaker, she had my husband repeat our order three times because she wasn't listening to her headset (she mentioned she wasn't wearing it for some reason).

When we arrived to the window, the cashier was extremely rude to my husband and almost exasperatedly explained that their credit card machine wasn't working (it's been down for at least a week, so they have to take credit cards and phones - for phone payments - into the restaurant to their front register). As he was taking the card, he said very LOUDLY, "Hey John, watch me close this window!" And then slammed it in my husband's face as all of the kitchen staff laughed behind him.

When our order finally arrived, he continued his conversation with the other kitchen staff, not meeting my husband's eyes any of the 3 times he gave us our items (2 drinks and our food). Finally, he slammed the window on us again without so much as a goodbye.

Tl;dr: the staff here are incredibly unprofessional and rude, I would not recommend visiting...

I am very disappointed. I had ordered The power bowl with no sour cream no guac and extra chicken. When I had opened up my box there was a little chicken as you could possibly imagine maybe one scoop at best. I have ordered at several other locations before the same exact thing and never has I ever been given this little amount of chicken when I had asked for an extra side of it the cashier and the guy handed me my food were very nice but the lady who made my bowl interjected and began yelling at me saying she did give me three scoops when I know in fact she did not. Like I said the cashier and the nice man handed me my food were very kind and patient but the lady who made my food was not. Even the extra scoop I was given was very small. Not worth my business...

The girl that handles the food that handed it to me needs an attitude adjustment and probably shouldn’t be working with the public if she wants to act like that. She handed my food to me all rude and every taco was smashed and the burrito was smashed. If you don’t like working at Taco Bell get a different job or maybe you’re not qualified enough to work outside of fast food. Not to mention the inside place was dirty. The floor was disgusting. They have computers and touchscreen to take your order and now they have AI through the drive-through. Don’t you think the place should be super clean since the humans barely have anything else to do there. Worst service in the area. 20...
