My mom stayed here for 2 months and let me say it was a terrible experience and we went in with such high hopes. The check in lady was rude and should not work a front desk job. Then when we got pulled back to get my moms weight the staff was not friendly and looked like they didn't want to be there. They finally got her into a ER room. They didn't address what we came in there for because my mom has cancer and they focused on that. They did some scans and basically told us she was dying and a whole bunch of people came in telling her they were her ICU team and would be there for her every step of the way and jokes on us because we believed them. Then later on when she got taken to ICU they found she had more blood clots, they again acted like it was not looking good just for the next day them to transfer her to the floor above after only so long of being in the ICU and getting told bad things. That floor was a joke too. They would hold my moms meds and not give them to her on time NOT ONE time while she was there, making her wait hours before even giving them. It would do no good to press the nurse button because they would never answer it and when they did they were rude. My mom had a ton of leads on her body while being there and they did not once ever come in the room when any of them came off of my moms skin, a lot of times it was because she would get hot and sweat and they would come off. There would be a lot of code names that would come across the machine indicating serious health issues with the heart (my mom has had a heart attack before) and thankfully nothing ever happened with my mom because they NEVER CAME IN TO CHECK!!!!!!! One even made rude comments towards my mom when having to care for her. The cleaning lady They took a very long time to even have a doctor see my mom. You would see a different doctor a lot, some nice and some in and out with no care. It took a couple of them before one even listened to my moms problems and concerns and actually tried getting her help. When my mom would order food half of the time she would not get it and the other half of the time it was left outside at the nurses station and not one time would a nurse bring it, I would have to go into the hall and go look for myself to know that it was left out there. They would always get her food wrong and it would always take another hour before they would redo her food. She even had a couple of them tell her they would not give her food tray to her unless her sugar was taken and even when it was and she told them they would not believe her. They treated my mom like a drug addict because of her medication list, to judge people without even understanding what is wrong with them is even crazier. The rooms are also so nasty and outdated it was a shame to see this hospital like that. Later on she got moved to another floor and we were told that they had even less nurses up there. Well they were not lying about that. My mom was at the end of the hall and barley ever got checked on. They also continued to not give her meds to her and would forget about her. There was only ONE male nurse on that floor that stood up for my mom and said how wrong the previous nurse before him did her and he did report the guy and would make sure to check on my mom when he was there. After she had surgery the nurses acted like they didn't know she had surgery and didn't care for her properly. As soon as she got back to her room the nurse was rushing her to order food and said she could have anything and my mom was of course hungry and ordered food but in reality they should have put her on a liquid diet after having a major surgery especially one that has to do with her digestive system. Of course after she ate she was in pain all night like something was stuck and she never got any meds that night and cried all night and was screaming and pleading for someone to come and help her, it was not until hours later someone came to check on her. Of course, I can't type my whole story, just know it was a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI did not have a good experience. There was no wait to get a room so thatās for the 2 stars. I was not greeted or even acknowledged standing in front of the check in for at least 5 minutes (rocking in pain) until the lady cleaning off her desk finally looked up & said ācan I help you ā like I was bothering her. I said um yes I need to check in for the ER. She said I just clocked in give me a minute & continued to clean her desk . Finally she gets to me . ER= I feel like itās an emergency. I think I have kidney stone or gallbladder so clearly Iām in pain. Finally she checks me in a get my vitals & into a room . There was an older lady after me that was hard of hearing and the check in lady literally kept yelling the same questions at her. Literally yelling . How about write the question down . . 3 nurses come in only 1 acknowledges me . Dr says CT scan seems like kidney stone . CT guy was the kindest one Iāve encountered. Dr. Comes in saying itās inconclusive but there was something there so weāre going to treat it like a kidney stone . Gives me 10 pills says take every 8 hours & follow up with pcp. Name was misspelled on bracelet and prescription she was suppose to call in which she didnāt she sent it back with the nurse on paper . Kidney stones hurt . Why ask what pharmacy to send it too if you give me a paper script . Now I have to drive and wait 1 hour to be filled . Advised name was spelled wrong on script . She fixed it in pen and said if problem then call. Seriously. The pain meds were not a controlled substance. I look at the CT results in the car & it said there was something there but didnāt look like a stone ā¦. My blood & urine were normal . So I was sent off without them doing anything else but saying yeah it may be this . Nurse went back to get me a āstrainerā upon discharge & the Dr tells her āI donāt think sheāll pass anythingā . WHAT !!??? So you donāt think itās a kidney stone?!? This was Thursday. Itās Sunday & still in pain . Canāt get to my pcp until Tuesday. I called and they said no refills . Again ā¦. Not a controlled substance. . Also, you know how ERs follow up ? Nothing . Everyone except The CT guy made me feel like an inconvenience. Iām in the same amount of pain & scared ā¦.. but why go back for them to make me pay another $400 copay for them to say āweāll treat it like it is one even though your only symptom is painā this was my first time using this ER & it...

They had an either new or student nurse, who they did not identify or explain. She started an IV for me. I wasnāt given the option to agree to have her do that. It wasnāt a big IV in blood got everywhere. This is a first for me and I am an in remission cancer patient that goes to the Hospital often. They did not offer, nor did they ever replace the bloody sheet that I was laying on. I had to ask when I got the C scan. Iām questioning the process of all of that because that scan came back unreadable. I do a lot of these and I am a bit confused as to what went wrong. This was never explained to me. The emergency room seems to be in need of a lot of updates. There were a lot of staff changes while we were there. They also wrote down my information incorrectly with the wrong type of cancer, which is important because of type of procedures that they wanted to do which would interfere with my iritated area. The doctor came in only maybe two or three times. She did not give much information on what was going on with my condition or any suggestions on what I should do and she never came back to give me a summary of my results. We could press the call button to see if I could get the IV removed And the nurse came in stating that they were going to release me and I was like well. Well whatās wrong with me? The nurse read off what was on the discharge papers. Which is also a first that I have experienced. They also at one point asked me to do my own swab because of where my cancer was. There was no real instruction. I had to ask what to do. I also had to continually tell people how to put on the arm pressure equipment. Each person they kept trying to put it on with leader leave something off or not put the cuff on correctly. The machine only took my blood pressure when someone was in the room so I wasnāt understanding why I needed it. And also the only thing I can think of why I needed the IV was for the scan, but I didnāt understand why they just didnāt take it off afterwards I had to wait an extremely him long amount of time before they...
