This is what I got after paying $210 ($190 + $20 tip) for a hybrid lash set with an open-eye look.
The curl drops flat in the middle, which should’ve been the most lifted point for open-eye style They’re also angled wrong instead of lifting the center, they almost droop across the lash line. The thickness is overpowering... These lashes are not open-eye they’re heavy, flat, and completely closed off my eyes. The exact opposite of what I asked for
I’m not someone who usually speaks up right away I tend to just pay, smile, and leave even if I’m unhappy with a service. That’s exactly what I did. I told her I liked the lashes and paid, but truthfully, I was overwhelmed and unsure how I felt until I got to my car.
Normally, I would’ve just taken the hit and kept it pushing. But because my birthday is coming up, I told myself, “Let me just try to fix this.”
So I went back inside, apologized multiple times, and explained as politely as I could: “I’m really sorry, but these lashes feel too dramatic and heavy for me. I just don’t feel comfortable. Is there any way we can fix them, or could I come back tomorrow?”
She told me to “wait a week and see if I liked them.”I told her my birthday is coming up and I didn’t feel confident going anywhere with lashes that made me feel this way.
She then asked me, “Well, what do you want to do?”
At that point, I was thinking if I can’t get them fixed and you’re not offering me any real help besides gaslighting me into waiting a week, then I’d rather just have them taken off.
So I asked her if she could remove them. She did then refused to give a refund. Told me “It’s my time” and that I was lucky she didn’t charge me for the removal.
When I told her I’d be disputing the charge, she said, “That’s fine. There’s cameras everywhere,” like I did something wrong for not wanting to pay $210 for lashes I didn’t ask for and didn’t even keep on.
I understand it took time — she spent an hour. But a real lash tech would’ve let me come back to fix it. Instead, I left with no lashes on and no customer service.
She also told me it was my fault because I didn’t show her pictures. But I assumed, as a licensed lash tech, she would know what an open-eye lash set is. That’s a basic style and I clearly communicated what I wanted
Thankfully, my bank credited me back immediately. Her name is Kai. Just a heads up...
Read moreI've had lashes many times and know how to take care of them very well, but the products and technique used in this salon are so inferior that the lashes started falling off the day I left - not my lashes, just the extensions. The salon wanted to charge me for another full set after a little more than three weeks. Ridiculous. At better salons, I could easily go four weeks before needing a typical two-week fill. And then, when I canceled my appointment because no one should ever need another full set after 3 weeks, they charged me $25 because I canceled only 20 hours in advance, not 24. Seriously. They also charged me an extra $10 for my lash application because there was a VERY small amount of mascara residue on my eyes - I had just washed my makeup off. There is a reason this salon is on Groupon doling out the cheapest eyelashes in the Twin Cities - they try to scam and squeeze every dime back out of customers once they are in the door and I imagine only an uneducated handful or their girlfriends go back. If you just want to try out lashes for a few days, this place might be fine. But if you are actually a lash-extention wearer, save your money and go to...
Read moreWent in for a lash lift and tint, came out with my lashes looking no different than when I went in. Been there once prior and the lash lift was amazing. Literally wasted $80 and one hour of my day on extremely poor quality service. I was credited back $40 from $120 (included tip) for the service. Found it very difficult to get the manager to make arrangements for me to come back in and sit through a second appointment in an attempt to do the lash lift properly. Manager may it seemed like there were only two technicians who are able to do lash lifts. I literally paid $80 for product and service by a technician that did nothing to lift my lashes. The quality of service at this location from the product to the technicians customer service skills and the managements ability to properly resolve the situation was poor to say the least. There have been other recent posts about the poor quality of service at this location. This is a huge indicator that something isn’t working at this salon. Might be time for management to reevaluate their technicians and product and figure out how to improve the quality of service here. Very...
