Updated review. Been here a number of times, but probably won't be back after the last time. We were seated on the patio. A lady at another table had a small kitten and pet carrier on the table. She took the kitten out of the pet carrier and let it run around on the table. Saw several staff members stop by her table to pet the kitten. I am an absolute animal lover, but find it disgusting that a restaurant would allow someone to turn their pet loose on a table where people eat. I rate this right up there with the lady who changed her baby's diaper on the table (different restaurant). It's like "Come on, people! Have some common sense and courtesy!" There are baby changing stations in the restrooms, and animals don't belong on dinner tables. Personally, I believe pets should not be allowed at restaurants, period, except actual service animals. If the staff doesn't have enough sense to say anything to them, they won't be getting my business.
Highly recommended. This was our first time here even though it's in our neighborhood. They always look so busy, so we just kind of avoided the place. Even with Covid restrictions, they were able to seat us right away inside, and it was just a short wait for patio seating. Everyone encountered, from the hostess, to the bartender, to the server was very friendly. Food was good, great list of beers, and reasonably priced. Two appetizers, four entrees, and four beers, right around $100. Everyone enjoyed their food, black and blue beef bites, hamburgers, French dip, and beef tacos, but the nachos with the homemade chips were the superstar of the night. Can't wait to go back to try some of their other...
Read moreI love Inver Grove Brewing! I have been there many times, especially on those warm, beautiful Minnesota summer nights, when IGB's large and beautiful patio space really shines. Often, I have heard live music played outside on the patio, which is not to be missed!
Food is fairly straight forward bar restaurant foods (burgers, etc), but for me, the unique food item at IGB is the "Dill Pickle Wings"! They pickle their wings in a homemade batch of pickling juice, and it really imparts a unique taste to their wings and other chicken foods. Not to be missed! I love the punch of the dill pickling in the wings.
The atmosphere inside and outside IGB is fantastic. It's loud and energetic inside, but not overly so. Staff are extremely helpful, and I've been pleased with their speedy delivery of food and beer, as well as their cheerful attitude. Many are well "seasoned" veteran waitresses and waiters, so they know how to move and hustle. I appreciate this!
Beer selections are pretty straight-forward - a good listing (on Untappd) for everyone - from cream ales, to chocolate stouts. They do rotate their own branded craft beers, and also offer craft beers from other local breweries. I particularly love their "Nightshift Coffee Amber Lager", which seems to be one of their standards. It's wonderful.
The true only minus I find at IGB is their relatively small parking lot - often I need to park over at the A and W's parking lot, since the brewery lot is completely full.
Otherwise, a solid 5-star for the unique dill pickled chicken foods, the great beer selection, the helpful and attentive staff, and the great atmosphere. ...
Read moreI stopped in here again last night with my wife. We ordered the French Dip, the mussels in beer sauce (with soft baked pretzels)(!), & a Thai salad. Friendly and welcoming people greet you from the time you step in the door (someone here has an impressive recruiting and training process). Our super fun and helpful waitress “Maddie” took care of us throughout the evening and made great suggestions. It hard not to become enthused by their level of enthusiasm, smiles and fun while keeping a light atmosphere throughout the evening. The Food was incredible: portions are generous; the “sweet potato tater tots” side are a fun take on Minnesota-they are adorable, delicious and plenteous. No complaints, only accolades-a very solid experience yet again…
The food here is a good reason to stop in, and the service has been consistently amazing. They have a good selection of local and beyond brews, a fabulously creative menu, and Sunday brunch, which is also excellent. We have been here twice in the last 10 days, on a Sunday morning and this Tuesday. At first it was me and just me and my wife and Mel took excellent care of us, and they have an effective team service concept. The crew did an equally good job with our larger party hanging out for a long time last night. From breakfast entrées, to apps, to fish tacos, this place just kind of nails...
