This place has gone way down hill since it opened. Incorrect orders, undercooked food, old fries, luke warm sandwiches, long wait even for A&W. Last time I went I took a bite, spit it out and threw it out. The only thing they got going for them is the tap root beer.
Edit: Response to owner. I wouldn't say that a rating of 3.8 out of 5 defines "reviews going through the roof"... The majority of your positive ratings are only mentioning your root beer, which I attested, is great. You are free to disagree, but that doesnt change the fact that 90% of the time we have gone here it has been long waits (even for A&W), with highschool staff members that don't say hello, don't give totals, don't say thank you and are obviously goofing off inside. I've witnessed customers get ignored and walk inside complaining of wrong orders. I've seen your staff smoking outside in groups of 2-3 people, all goofing around laughing, while there are 1-2 workers left inside to manage everything.
I've had under cooked cold chicken sandwiches and burgers that look like they were put together by a monkey, then thrown in a washing machine before being served. Cold, flimsy, greasy fries.
My review was 3 months ago, if you are saying everything has changed in the last 3 months, maybe we'll try it again sometime. But so far the experiences matches the majority of restaurants in the area; poor quality food, with employees that don't care. Excited for the brewery to come in next door, maybe they will bring the other...
Read moreI dined in here about a week ago with my friend. The last time we were here had to have been about 7-8 years ago or so. I wanted to come back since I drive by all the time when I'm on my way to work and driving by when I'm working. I do love A and W but just never manage to stop by that often.
First off, ordering was really easy with the screens! We got our order in, and went and sat down. When the gal brought our food, I had to tell her that we had root beer floats with our meals. She did make them and brought them to us. The music playing was definitely the drive-in vibe, LOVED THAT. The restaurant had two Christmas trees in the restaurant that had A&W cans as some of the ornaments. I totally loved that also! I love when restaurants decorate, even if it's just a little bit! 😍 I also really liked how the restaurant had cool things on the walls like license plates, old nostalgic pictures and such. The food took a little bit of time to get to us, but everything was really hot and the order was correct! And very tasty! The root beer floats were bomb!! My only question would be if we could have the option to get them in a glass mug, even if we had to pay more? Would make them more appealing!
My experience was overall nice and I will try to get back before 8 years...
Read moreWe went in and ordered from the kiosk. Paid. Waited. While waiting watched the staff be rude to a customer that asked about his drink. The staff replied rudley there's cups right there and walked away. I politely showed the customer where the cups were located. He thanked us and made a comment about the way he was told and not being informed. While there we took our food outside. The sun was shining so we put the umbrella up. The staff person made it a point to comment we were already in the shade. One of our party has a sun allergy and the comment nor her attitude was needed. It's 80 degrees out. Umbrellas are there to be used to block the sun? We asked about the coupon we had for the free small root beer float. She told us we could either show her or she would have to put it through the kiosk. We told her whatever was easier for her. We'll just show me then because I don't want to have to go through all of that to get it for you was the response we were gone . There was an employee that said hello and was cleaning up the lobby area. He was great. I understand not being able to please everyone. It was not very busy at all either when we were there. The food was great. The staff young and inexperienced. A&W used to be known for their customer service....
