When it came time to sell my comic book collection I had no idea where to start. Most of my books were bought in the mid to late 80s with some early 90s stuff thrown in, so nothing too rare, as it seems everything was being mass produced then. When I contacted Zach, he could have easily said, "Sorry. Not worth my time to go through your books," but he didnt. He explained that they probably didnt have much value now, but the joy we got when we were younger was priceless. I hadnt thought of it like that and it made me feel much better. He then took my big box of comics and over the next week went through them to see what he would be able to use. He also went above and beyond with the two pieces of my collection that would probably be worth something by offering to take them to a huge show in Chicago for grading and signature verification on the one and auction consignment on the other. Always super friendly and helpful! They recognize me right away when I come in and have my comics ready for me to pick up. They've helped me plenty of times in finding backorders I'm looking for and are always patient with me and whatever crazy book I want. Always have some great recommendations, too, if you don't know what you want to read next! Last visit, my five year old had some questions about a character and the employee came around the counter and helped her find what she was looking for and answered all her questions. made my baby's day! I've been to a great number of comic book stores across the country, and this is one of the best there is. The employees were nice, helpful, and extremely talkative leading to good conversation between me and the other customers and regulars in the store. And while they have moved and downsized from their old location, the trade and graphic novels section is still jam packed with the best content comics have to offer. I was particularly a big fan of their writer collection sections, which contain several well organized shelves that have books from certain well known writers, with bios on hand for each of them.
