BoomLoot — Local services in Irvine

Another 5 star experience. In the short time I've been collecting these Funko Pop! toys, I've come across a variety of vendors... some more honest than others.

So, my original visit to BoomLoot was on 7/14, and then I discover the next day (on instagram) they were offering a discount on Game of Thrones Pop! Yeah, murphy's law for me.. I always seem to miss the deals, and posted a "Meh" on instagram. I quickly got a PM from BoomLoot, saying not to worry and I'll get my discount the next time I am in.

Fast forward to 7/27 about 2 weeks after my first visit. The owner recognized me and Karen, and remembered that I didn't get my discount. He applied my discount (lucky I posted my receipt on Yelp!) and knocked off the amount on my next order.

That's customer service, and merits a 5-star update, and also a customer for life. Add to that, he gave me more punches on my loyalty card, so I am 2 Funko Pop! away from a free one!

This shop is a good example of what the Funko Community is all about. They've hosted a once a month pop swap in their parking lot for the last few months. Its free and open to the public. You can bring your own pops to sell and trade or simply show up to shop around. They also offer mystery boxes at these events for a great price but they sell out fast so get there early. It's a great place to meet and bond with fellow collectors. The shop itself is filled with a variety of pops including a nice collection of grails. If you're interested in more information on the pop swaps make sure to check out the shops social media pages its definitely worth it. I'm glad I stumbled across...

Love this place. I'm a big Pokemon collector and they always have great prices on their Illustration + Special Art rares. Ideal place to take a young fan to check out the big ticket stuff as well as their wide variety of bulk Pokemon cards to help kickstart their collection. They hold weekly tournaments as well (Saturdays 3pm) so you can build a deck here as well lern to play!

The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, you'll find the owners behind the counter here pretty often, so you know you're supporting not only a local business but someones lifetime...
