I usually do not write reviews but this was a great experience so I am writing to help others make the decision on whether to stay here or not. I booked the hotel because I went to Irvine to look at the houses and area as I was thinking of moving to Irvine. The hotel was conveniently located right next to the John Wayne (SNA) Airport which was great as we can go back and forth the airport very quickly and do not have to worry about traffic. The hotel also has a shuttle where they can pick you and drop you off for free during day time hours and it is just 10-15 mins away from Airport. The hotel is like new and has all of the amenities for long time stay. We stayed at this hotel for 10 days and we chose it because it had a kitchen which is decent size and also our room had a separate bedroom with a door so I can work from the hotel while having my family stay in the same room but in the living room/kitchen area. The Bedroom and Bathrooms were clean and our room had a sofa bed in the living room so technically you can have 6 adults sleep in this room comfortably. The room was good enough size for long term stay with kids. The service was great as well as the breakfast and Wifi in hotel are free. Parking is free as well. The breakfast was good and they kept everything clean and had strict policy on wearing mask/gloves. The lobby was also had nice ambience and the Coffee/Hot Water was always available. The breakfast in morning was good and pretty standard for this style of hotel. The staff there was helpful and if asked also give bottles of water upon leaving everyday. They had a business area where you can use the computer and print as well. They also had a game room where you can sit privately as they allowed one group at a time for one hour and they had pool there and nice furniture. They even have gym with all of the equipment for workout. The best area is the outdoor Swimming Pool/Spa area. When we went there was not a lot of crowd and the Hot jet spa was nice to sit in to get a massage. Swimming pool water was also nice and not too hot or cold. They had a nice area to do BBQ and we used to eat there as they had high chairs and tables to eat near the swimming pool. They also had a fire pit as it gets cool at night and it was nice to sit around it. They also have a laundry room and even helped us giving us extra coins when one of the machines did not work and gave us free detergent powder without questioning. They were prompt with request whenever we asked for towels or blankets or pots and pans. I would recommend staying here as it was not very expensive and it was a great experience...
Read moreWow wow wow!! I’ve been staying at the Homewood Suites for the past 10 days now and it truly is the best place I’ve ever stayed in Irvine. Our family of 3 have really loved every minute at this hotel. The staff and everyone who works here is super friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel is clean and inviting and the amenities have been awesome. My 6 yr old son has loved the game room so much as well as the pool. We also made time to play a little basketball and hit the jacuzzi. We’ve also utilized the laundry room which is clean and was never busy and the machines are huge so you can fit a lot. The breakfast each morning was very good and they had a great variety. My favourite was making a bowl of granola, pecan, shaved almonds, cranberries with a dash of cinnamon and almond milk. I also loved the fresh sliced fruit which I noticed is only available during the week. Their hot breakfast items changed daily and I saw omelets, different types of potato, and meat options. They have a tea and coffee station as well that’s available all the time. On Wednesday we attended the “Evening Social” where they had free burgers, chips, salad and corn!! And drinks! Woah that was great! In regards to the room, we booked a king suite which was extremely comfortable. We loved having the extra living room space to hang out. We actually used the kitchen and dining room a lot and made a few meals. Our king bed was super comfortable and I liked how they had different types and sizes of pillows so I was able to find one that suits my needs. Something I really appreciated was the shampoo and conditioner that they had which was in large bottles in the shower so it was easy to use and less wasteful than those small bottles, best part is they are sulfate free!!! That was a huge bonus!! They also had a large lotion bottle too near the sink which was super useful. Another cool thing is we can see the airplanes go by from our room which my son loved, and we can see them from the pool too. But we couldn’t hear them when we were in the room which was great. We also used their shuttle when we returned our rental car at the airport. It was easy to use and we didn’t wait too long for it. I could go on and on but basically everything was incredible at this hotel and we really loved staying here. We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Irvine. Shout out to Elisabeth, Caroline, Valeria, Margarita, Jordan, Cherie & Yazmin everyone at the front desk and buffet area who was just so helpful and friendly. Sorry, there was even more amazing staff but I didn’t catch their name! Thank you ‘Homewood...
Read moreMy family are Hilton Honors members for many years now. We’ve stayed in domestic and international branches almost every time we traveled. I have to say, staying at the Homewood Suites Irvine at John Wayne airport was our best experience at Hilton and other hotels.
It was the cleanest hotel: the lobby, the public spaces and of course the private rooms. The lobby is open and welcoming. We spent time just sitting and chilling there in the dining area, while preparing for the day out.
We’ve been to many hotels in this area (for Disneyland getaways) and this one stands out by allowing visitors to use the dining area outside of buffet hours. Visitors could bring their own food and enjoy it anytime day or night-which is life savior after a hectic day touring. Speaking about eating, I’m usually reluctant to eat the free breakfast buffet at most hotels. Homewood Suites Irvine had a diverse and tasty spread for the two weeks we stayed this month.
The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. They’re resourceful in providing information about the local area, responding quickly when asking for amenities (soap, toothbrush, tooth paste, extra linens, even tape when we broke one of our personal items). Jordan was particularly helpful and friendly to me. I noticed her interacting with other residents and I noticed she had a wonderful demeanor and is definitely a people person. Jordan had the perfect personality for greeting travelers after a long day of traveling. You knew it was going to be a swift and easy interaction checking in and checking out.
This is the perfect hotel for families, business travelers, and families without children. We enjoyed the pool and table tennis, bbq area and the games room. My daughter had a job interview and was able to use the business area. All were neat and clean.
I live out of state now and have family in Los Angeles and Orange County. This will be my base when I return to visit them. It’s close to the freeways and the airport as well as Disneyland (without the chaos of Disney traffic). I highly recommend for anyone traveling to...
