I help take care of a large family of feral cats at a homeless shelter in Buena Park. I am very happy with the success of OC COMMUNITY CATS of Anaheim for their ongoing successes of donations, vet care, adoptions, and foster care.🤱 What a wonderful program to seed. Our successes have been a little different. We are a group of 4 women and 1 to 2 men who truly love our group of cats and their kittens and their kittens kittens and so forth..... We use our own money to make sure they are fed well, through their own healthy diet and demeaner, the cats and kittens groom themselves well. This is a sigh of healthy cats. Between the neighbouring business, they have a good shelter to protect themselves. We supply medicine and vet care. We also make a point for them to b safe from the hazards of surrounding machinery, coyotes, and the dogs that we own (yes, OUR dogs). They have tall 🌾grasses to play with, bushes to hide in and small trees to climb. They live a life the way feral cats live. Our family of cats are not afraid to come up to us. When being fed, they sneak a small🐱 pat on the head and are comfortable around us. The only thing is, we have reached out for help and get no response or get a no show. We hear excuses about why they can't come out to help. Right now, we have our oldest, and one of our teenagers pregnant. We need spay and neutering to prevent the family from growing. We have been able to adopt most of the 🐈kittens from the recent litter. We need food donations. We could use 💊 medicine for backup. This may seem like a small request but it is hard when we are struggling ourselves. We don't complain because the fact remains; The cats come first in our...
Read moreI'm so grateful for OC Community Cats for saving Gianna. We fostered/adopted her in 2021 and she's ended up rescuing us with her love and silliness. She's brought me a lot of mental healing and she reminds me to be in the present. She somehow survived living with feral cats although she's blind with the help of OC Community Cats. She reminds me every day to take my time like she does to navigate through life. Be in the present and life is too short to speed through it. We were provided with insightful instructions on what to expect and it was as they predicted. It took time for Gianna to adjust and her blindness also presented more challenges navigating our house, but we listened and opened one room at a time. The stairs took some time, but now, she jogs up and down better than I can. We just have to remember not to move furniture around or put things in her pathway. She used to jolt with nightmares, and now she sleeps peacefully. I can't imagine how she would have survived without the love and care from OC Community Cats. Thank you, Chandra and Avis. 🙏❤️ She...
Read moreTHIS IS NOT A CAT RESCUE ORGANIZATION!! Their volunteers trespass on private property and remove feral animals without the owner's permission. If anyone from this organization is seen on your property it is recommended that you call the police immediately and sight them for trespassing. We were lied to by one of their "volunteers". This individual, Dulaney Kicklighter was seen taking animals from private property without the owner's permission. These are horrible people. Shameful! UPDATE!! This organization is still in the practice of taking animals / pets from people's private property without their knowledge or permission. It is advised that you contact law enforcement if individuals from this organization are seen on...
