I saw WORK being offer on ClassPass (back in 2018 - that's how long I've loved this place), checked out the Yelp reviews, and thought I'd give it a try. Well, the 5-star reviews were definitely warranted - the facilities, the staff, and most importantly the workout were all great. I've been to Barry's and Orange Theory Fitness a few times each and I've tried various boot camp-style workouts all over South OC. Without getting into too many details about the other businesses, I would say that I love WORK the most. In terms of each workout, there's a warm up, demos at each "station," a multitude of different exercised based on the day of the week, and a cool down. I love that I no longer have to think about strength days, upper/low body days, HIIT days, etc. I also appreciate that instructors fully demo each exercise, and I never see people with terrible form which suggests that the trainers and members do a great job of helping each other on a regular basis. For the past year, during these Pandemic-times, WORK has helped me SO MUCH. Not just physically, but mentally as well - I schedule my Zoom workouts each day and know that I'm doing something good for myself. It's my time, away from work/stress/laying on the couch looking at my phone. I see familiar faces in each class who I pretend are kind-of-friends. Ha! And there is no other (NONE, guys) online platform as comprehensive and interactive as the one that WORK has developed. They have multiple camera angles, a producer for each class, great music, timers and onscreen "boards" (aka sets of exercises), and finally trainers who encourage you and actually try to create that sense of community that's been missing in a lot of our lives this year. I like WORK so much that I'm always trying to get my friends to join. (It's worked with one person so far. That darn Peloton is way too popular right now, but way less varied and interactive!)

Absolutely a great place to go for group exercise. The instructor was professional, patient, and totally helpful to first timer. The people tho made the place. Everyone was positive, very encouraging, and welcoming even when I was doing different things with the same confused expressions all the time. The vibe was just superb. The facilities and amenities were good. Bathrooms, lockers, water, towels

I am so proud to say that I work out at the WORK facility. They have such a positive attitude, great music during workouts, motivating and very welcoming. I had just finished the 6 week workshop and I have learned more about nutrition then I ever have. I have always been told what to eat and what to stick to when eating healthy and keep a healthy life style but never been told or been educated on the benefits of what I was actually eating. It motivated me more to stick to better choices when making my food prep for the week.

This program is not a challenge and it’s not a diet. It’s educating you on “modifying” or “changing” your lifestyle. They taught me that logging in my food holds me accountable for the food I choose to eat. It’s definitely kept me away from foods I definitely shouldn’t have. I feel my performance is a lot better with strength during my workouts, I can sleep way better then I used to, and I finally feel rested and not sluggish or tired. I no longer eat protein bars (my personal preference) I chose to get my calories and protein from real food. I drink coffee before i work out for my pre work out rather than taking a pre work. Its more natural and cheap.

I personally choose to live this lifestyle for the longevity that it has on me. My family comes from a back round of Diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc and if I can do anything I can to stay away from getting any of those or help prevent myself from it then i will do what I can to make it happen. Im not perfect no one is but I will do and try my absolute best to stay as clean as possible. If you’re ready for the 6 week workshop make sure you are ready to make changes to your lifestyle. Make sure you are ready to put time aside to food prep just like we all put time aside to watch tv, go to happy hour, go out to dinner etc.

I hear a lot of people say they have no time to do food prep or exercise but you have to make time. Workout around the house, walk around the block or run, do squats and sit ups at home, get resistance bands and workout while watching TV if you have to. If you want to modify or change your lifestyle and be healthier for yourself or your family and children etc make it a family life style change. Get creative and help each other and motivate each other for a better life . I’ve been told “why do you eat like that” “your in shape” "you workout too much" Your right I don’t have to do this I choose to do it. Just because you look great doesn’t mean you feel the same on the inside. I want to be around for my family, friends and nieces and nephews for as long as I can . If you want to as well I suggest you sign up for the next #6Weekworkshop. Its definitely a life changing experience. THANK...

After trying nearly all the group fitness classes in the Irvine/costa Mesa/newport area AND testing out a couple gyms… I finally found the best place in OC! Work training studio had been on my radar due to some friends recommending it but I was hesitant because so far my group class experiences hadn’t been great (trust me I really did the leg work with other local studios.) I was constantly met with extremely overcrowded classes, trainers unable to help modify some exercises, intimidating environments, unorganized studios, injury due to trainers unable to help in the over crowded environment OR simply programs that were over complicated & not well planned. With all this being said, WORK is none of these things!!! It’s such a welcoming environment with trainers who pay attention and genuinely care about injury prevention & progress. The whole staff makes it a point to get to know you, welcome you and provide amazing workouts. The vibe of every workout is fun, positive, motivating and you get your butt kicked in the best of ways. It doesn’t matter if your on day one of a fitness journey, coming back from injury or pretty advanced. The workouts and trainers can cater to all levels & bodies. They’re always mixing up the programming and adding in new opportunities to grow (it’s never the same old movements or basic HIIT a lot of other studios do.) I also love how flexible their class opportunities are and how accommodating the staff is if you need to make changes. As a mom coming back from multiple surgeries and feeling lost trying to get my health back, WORK has provided such a safe space for me to feel strong and confident again. And it’s a huge plus that my husband who is much further along in his fitness journey than myself, can go to class with me and we both are met at our levels with phenomenal workouts. I very much appreciate Anthony Hayes for giving me the extra push to try a class and trainers Olivia and Anthony F for motivating me and taking care of me. There isn’t another studio in OC that I loved even half as much as I...

The studio's atmosphere is inviting and thoughtfully designed, featuring handmade art and decor that creates a welcoming environment. What truly makes WORK stand out is its emphasis on building a supportive community. I often describe the studio as feeling like a family, with trainers who take the time to get to know you personally and push you beyond your perceived limits.

WORK's training approach is both effective and varied. They offer high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and strength training classes that are constantly evolving. Unlike many fitness programs that may lead to burnout or injury, WORK alternates body parts and intensities each day, allowing for daily exercise without overexertion. They also rotate the focus every month as well between strength, endurance, and hybrid. An example of this would be performing one exercise for 6 reps and then the next month you would be performing the same exercise for 16 reps. This variety keeps workouts fresh and engaging, with no two sessions being the same.

The trainers at WORK are nationally certified and highly skilled in coaching proper technique, form correction, and safety. They strike a balance between encouragement and challenge, helping members achieve their fitness goals in a positive, non-competitive atmosphere. The upbeat music selection adds to the motivating environment.

My most praised aspect of WORK is its sense of community. I consistently mention the supportive and uplifting atmosphere, where everyone cheers each other on. This community aspect extends beyond the studio, with many members like myself forming lasting friendships.

While the workouts are challenging, they're designed to be accessible and adaptable to different fitness levels.

Overall, WORK Training Studio in Irvine, CA offers a comprehensive fitness experience that goes beyond just working out. It provides a supportive community, expert coaching, and effective, varied workouts that help me not only achieve their fitness goals but also enjoy the process of...
