I hope they do well, but my group's experience was pretty mid. Still, I'd give it another shot in the future once this first experience wears off as this shop concept is really appealing Some things of note: lots of charms, and lots of different projects to pick, but they're largely unorganized and don't seem to have any special system to help things run smoothly. I think for a studio concept like this, having a QR code with steps for the project you're taking on would be helpful, but since they don't have this in place, you're stuck waiting on one of 1-3 employees to tell you next steps which might end up being a while since it's a small shop and can be busy.
but here are the long winded details Pros: very cute shop with lots of projects and charms for said projects! (Charms are also organized pretty neatly along the wall)
Beige flags: kind of an expensive outing but it might be worth it for some people for the novelty. Our group made a phone case ($40), a mirror ($50), and a mosaic horse ($50). small and kinda cramped shop
Cons: required gratuity fee which is automatically tacked on to your bill (I get tipping and this feels more like a beige flag, but it feels weird to automatically tack it on at the end of the bill and not have an employee say anything at the start) super unorganized, in terms of project pick up (nobody called my group and we came back maybe a week and a half later looking for our stuff. My phone case was just kind of randomly in a pile and my friends' were in unmarked bags???) with such an hefty price, you're still limited to 1-2 colors if you're using cream glue and you need to pay more if you want...
Read moreI came with my wife yesterday. When I saw a young lady working in the store, I already didn’t want to go in. She looked depressed and angry already. Her name is KARAN. She unkindly went over how to do stuff and I already didn’t want to stay longer but I kept it inside as I was with my wife. I asked her when you are going to open it tomorrow so we can dry our stuff and pick it up. She said it was 10am clearly before we started doing this. If it was later, we wouldnt have started. I asked her again as I had a feeling that she might have given wrong information, then she changed time that they are opening at 12…? No apologies. I just had to make adjustment my plan as we had to catch flight. This was fine. Then later when we are done with payment, I asked her discount sign behind payment machine. She said that I already paid. And that’s it? Why can’t you explain beforehand just like you did to other previous group? How do I know what discount you have or how it works? Again no apologies. She seems as just annoyed all the time we were there. Store wasn’t that busy at all. Improve your employees attitude and how they talk to customer. What a great name to have KARAN … will not visit again as long as she exists. Be careful all the time when you deal with customers. I might be the crazier one than you are. Good luck...
Read moreOH MY GOD, so I impulsively drove myself over here on a Tuesday evening. I arrived at the location at 6pm and was by myself. The best choice ever...it wasnt even busy. There were 5 other people at the shop. Plenty of space and lots of variety of charms. It was my first time ever doing a DIY decoden case. I have seen it all over instagram and i had to try it. The shop keepers was really helpful and sweet. The pricing is expensive. But that's what you get if you go to a DIY store. Aka guys think about it you're paying to use their items and supplies to create your own stuff. Either way when you go buy these items on your own you would still be paying the same amount. Its was $48 for the small mirror and $5 for the studio fee. So it was $53 dollars in total. I get it sometimes its too expensive for some people in this economy. But remember you're doing this for the experience and the joy of having fun! 10/10 very peaceful and quiet. The workers are very nice and...
