I meant to do this review since December 2024, after experiencing a bad customer service experience with the General Manager Pedro B., of this location. My review is to bring awareness to other customers to avoid them going through the same situation. I bought my car in 2022 with 39ā¦miles. That evening everything went pretty well. As someone who isnāt very familiar with cars, I trusted that the dealership would ensure the salesperson followed the proper procedures during the buying process and that all necessary parts for the car would be provided. Unfortunately, I didn't check to confirm that everything was included, but I didnāt know better at the time. In December of last year, my boyfriend was trying to change my tires and took the car to a shop. When he asked about the wheel lock, we searched the car, but it wasnāt anywhere to be found. He was frustrated to discover that not only was the wheel lock missing, but other parts were as well. He explained that this was a safety hazardāif I had a flat tire at night, thereād be no way anyone could help me. He suggested I go back to the dealership to have them correct their mistakes, since I was supposed to have received all the necessary parts with the car. Before going to the dealership, I called to explain the situation, and the lady on the phone told me to come in to retrieve the wheel lock. When I arrived, I spoke to someone who seemed to have no record of the issue and directed me to the dealershipās shop to purchase the part. I told him I wasnāt there to buy anything, so he sent me to speak with a salesperson. I explained the situation to her, and she went to talk to the GM. When the GM walked in, he didnāt take the time to properly analyze the situation or offer any real solutions. Instead, he made several irrelevant proposals, clearly more interested in money than actually resolving the issue.
I got frustrated and told him why I was there, but he responded by accusing me of having an attitude and suggested I pay half the cost of the part while they cover the other half. I refused, explaining that I shouldnāt have to pay for something that was supposed to come with the car. He then accused me of lying, asking how he could know I was telling the truth since someone else could have taken the parts. I reminded him that Iāve only driven the car myself and had only taken it to the dealership for oil changes. After some back and forth, he finally checked my car and confirmed that the parts were indeed missing.
At that point, he told me to leave because they were closing and asked me to return on Monday to sort things out. He mentioned he needed to request inspection papers from the accountant. I left feeling frustrated and discriminated against by the GM. Right after I left the dealership, I received a call from him asking if I had bought my car used. I answered, and he said I should come back on Monday because it was too late to fix it that day. I went back on Monday, and the same lady was sent to talk to me. She took my keys and replaced the wheel lock. While I was there, I also requested the inspection paperwork, as I had never received it. He took my email address but never sent the documents. I followed up with a call, and he confirmed my email address, but to this day, I still havenāt received the paperwork. This guy is incredibly unprofessional and seems to discriminate others based on his assumptions. Now Iām forced to go to another Dealership because I no longer trust this current one. This GM needs extra training on how to help customers and handle difficult...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis dealership has been the worst experience ive ever had with car dealerships. They just beguiled you with their promotions and protection plans and stuff but never fall for it as i did. They just lie to sell you the vehicle. Personally I wont recommend them to anyone but seeing the number of good reviews they have, either they are asking people to give them good reviews or i have been just unlucky. Here is the list of reasons why they deserve 0 stars from me.
While buying the vehicle they gave me a discount since they wanted me to buy the vehicle that day itself. They also had a clay cooley family 1 year family guarantee which covers free key replacement for a year and 3 days of refund, 7 days exchange. My vehicle had a weird burning gas smell inside when i bought it so i thought of returning it or exchanging it. I went back the very next day and they just tried to avoid the problem altogether asking to give it a couple of days. I understood then and there that it was just a marketing strategy and they wont actually do anything. Also, Unluckily i misplaced my key within the first few weeks so i went in to order new one. They said it would be 350$ for that. I asked them that this was supposed to be covered by the family guarantee thing to which they replied saying that i dont have that since the discount they gave me on the vehicle wasnt really a discount but they had taken off the family guarantee from my vehicle. Mind you, i was never informed of this while they quoted me the price and on top of that the flyer that they show you for the family guarantee clearly says āFor Free for the first yearā. Dont know how can you deduct money for something thats supposed to be free
I was promised a free oil replacement on my first service and surprise surprise they kind of denied later. I mean they did deny it and when i pressed them harder, they simply shrugged it off saying that i had an ally protection plan so that will cover it anyways i dont have to worry.
Coming to the ally protection plan they sold me, i pay friā¦ng 40-50$ a month for the plan and thats just worthless as well. While selling me the plan, I remember clearly them telling me that i wont be needing to pay for service as my insurance plan would cover it. But turns out it just covers 100$ per visit according to the service center guys. I was so frustrated at this and i called ally customer care. The agent told me that according to the plan i am not supposed to pay anything for regular maintenance stuff like oil change etc at the dealership from where i bought my vehicle and the plan. 0$! So in short, this dealership is just looting you to sell their partnered insurance and on then asking you to pay at each service even when you are not supposed to
Their service is equally appalling. At one incident they had setup an appointment for for me at a time when they were closed. And another time i took my vehicle, my service rep informed me that itāll take 2 hrs so i waited there. After 2hrs he came and informed me that itll take anthr 2 hrs. I told him ill leave for home in that case but ended up staying to which he wasnt aware am assuming bcoz i saw my vehicle standing out and askd anthr rep if my vehicle is done servicing. The other rep informed me its done n that they didnt find any problems however n to keep an eye out. Fast forward 3 hrs, i get a call frm my rep syn that theyll need to keep my vehicle for the whole day since they need to run more tests. I mean the lies they keep telling you right from the sales to the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience with Clay Cooley dealerships has been nothing short of a disaster. I deeply regret ever doing business with them. I purchased a vehicle from Clay Cooley Nissan of Lewisvilleāonly to find out the very next day that the dealership had been sold to new ownership. Unfortunately, this left me caught in the middle of a transition that has been handled with zero accountability.
One of the major selling points was the āClay Cooley Family Guaranteeā which claims that you can return the vehicle within 3 days if youāre not satisfied. When I attempted to exercise that guarantee, I was told it would not be honored due to the ownership change. That so-called promise turned out to be nothing more than a sales pitch with no real support behind it.
What makes this even more hurtful is the fact that my own mother previously bought a car from Clay Cooley and was treated with care and respect. Based on her positive experience, I expected the same treatmentābut unfortunately, I was given nothing close to that same honesty or support.
To make matters worse, I was promised compensation and told I would receive a check. Since then, my messages have been ignored completely. Iāve followed up multiple times, but Iāve been met with silence. This dealership has left me feeling abandoned and deceived.
Iām writing this review here because my deal was transferred to this dealership after the ownership change, and they are responsible for everything that has followed.
I am ashamed that I got caught up in this vortex of false promises and poor business ethics. I trusted the name and the people behind it, only to be left with nothing but frustration and regret.
Please be cautious. If youāre considering buying from this dealership, I strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere.

UPDATE: Still no calls or apologiesānot even from corporate. Iāve now had to go to the tax office for a second temporary plate. Keep in mind, I purchased this car back in May and I still have not received my permanent plates and registration stickers. I seriously donāt understand what is going on. I truly regret getting this car. STAY FAR AWAY FROM CLAY COOLEY!

ANOTHER UPDATE: These people never even submitted my registration application. They have been lying to me for months. I had to go to the tax office for yet another temporary plate, and when the clerk checked the records, there was nothingāno application on file. To remind you, I purchased this vehicle in May. This has been the most unbelievable and unacceptable experience Iāve ever had with a dealer.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CLAY COOLEY. THEY WILL SCAM YOU, LIE TO YOU, AND IGNORE YOU.
Stay away from Jason Klein in particular. Since my deal was transferred from Lewisville to Irving, he has lied to me the entire time. He and Clay Cooley Nissan of Irving have shown zero compassion, zero responsibility, and zero respect for customers.
And as for you, Clay Cooley Nissan of Irvingāyou still owe me reimbursement for the time Iāve wasted, the gas Iāve spent driving back and forth, and the two temporary plates Iāve had to obtain at the tax office because of your negligence.
I am beyond disappointed. I had hoped to be a lifelong customer, especially since friends and family spoke highly of your dealerships, but you have failed me spectacularly. I am ashamed that I fell into your trap. The only saving grace in this entire ordeal is that I love my car itself.
But as for Clay Cooley, I will never do business...
