Pollo Regio — Restaurant in Irving

Heading to DFW and Dante wanted to grab a bite to eat. As we exited the highway, we came across Pollo Regio and decided to pull over.

Pollo Regio sits in a small lot and has a few parking spots. Though we pulled up to the drive thru, we decided to park and head in since we had a few minutes.

Once inside, the restaurant is small and quaint. It’s perfect if it’s 1-3 people and you wanna eat and chit chat.

Heading to the counter, the young lady greeted us with a smile and welcomed us into Pollo Regio. We took a moment to scroll over the menu then placed our orders. The menu has a great selection of options and offers something for and level of hunger. As my hunger was at minimum, I ordered the cheese quesadilla with a side of rice and Dantè ordered a Number 4.

Once we placed our orders we took a seat and waited.

The food was ready within a few moments and arrived at the table fresh. Great smells. Nice presentation and delivered with great service.

As I opened my food the aroma grew even stronger and had me excited to take a bite. Upon taking my first bite I was so glad we pulled over. The food was very good. Well seasoned, freshly made, and great portions made Pollo Regio a great experience.

Drove up to their drive thru after a long day at work. As I pulled up to order, Rosa, the order taker treated me like a KING!! She took my order with ease, and spoke to me comfortably in English and Spanish, repeated my order clearly and accurately. Very, very smooth voice when she talked. As I pulled over to get my order, she greeted me very kindly. She was very patient with me as I didnt had enough cash to pay but had to resort to my card to pay. She handed me my order in a very wonderful manner and my credit card with my receipt. I could tell she was smiling even though she had a face mask on. Definitely Rosa made my day easier and a whole lot better. Her interaction towards me was professional and satisfying. She really deserved a tip. AM SORRY ROSA FOR THE TIP I GAVE YOU!!!!IT SHOULD'VE HAD BEEN MORE!! I will definitely return to this location and hope to see Rosa again Muchas gracias Rosa!!! Alegraste mi dia!!!

I ordered online for curbside because it’s normally a really long wait in the drive-thru and because I have small children and curbside pick up is really convenient so that I don’t have to get them out of the car. The instructions said to call on arrival and they would bring it to your car, it even asked for vehicle details. I parked on the curbside reserved spot and when I called to let them know I had arrived they responded “ok, so what?” to which I responded, it’s a curbside order and he said “we don’t do that, you have to come inside and get it yourself” I said, no it clearly says online and parking space to call upon arrival and he said “well they need to fix that, because we don’t do that”. However, the receipt clearly state Curbside along with the make, model and color of my car. I ended up going inside to pick up the order myself, which is not a big deal, but it was a poor...
