Well first of all I am assigned to an advisor and apparently only that advisor can assist you. That would be fine if the advisor is at work everyday. And if that is out of anyoneâs control at least a back up should be available so one doesnât have to wait days to get anything accomplished. They donât even get on the phone and tell you the person isnât there they leave you on hold for 20 minute increments 3 times back to back and still no one comes. Then the invoice that I was given was so confusing and misleading. I think I received about 6 variations of what I owed and each one was 400% higher then what I actually was quoted for the repairs and yet the amount it said I owed thank goodness wasnât what I actually owed but I think that might be a tactic used to be able to get over on someone âHell, at least it wasnât $4000â. And I canât even produce tangible evidence of this fact because when they send you another copy the old one disappears and I didnât catch on to it till it was too late or I would have screened shot each one. I get home and noticed I was charged for rental even though my warranty covered it. That would explain some of the extra amount I was expected to pay. But no big deal, I can just call and get reimbursed. I set it up through Allstate Protection (which I highly recommend you look into for extended warranty because when I tell you hands down the best decision Iâve ever made, I am not exaggerating.) and I donât hear anything for a while but I do notice I get yet another invoice from you Clay Cooley after the fact and guess what, the rental charge was gone. BUT and hereâs the big one⌠tell me why my total is still the same. I went through Sunbilt so I donât know how to get about adjusting the amount I should be paying but $900 is already Highway Robbery for changing break pads that were 2mm past the recommended 7mm so in going to need my money back and to top it all off, the reason I took my car there in the first place, my warning light still comes on and this is supposedly the 2nd time it was fixed by a Nissan dealership. I definitely want to send some dagger eyes to the AutoZone on South Carrier. I took my car up there to have the battery tested and get a new one they tore me battery was fine that the alternator needed to be replaced. Needless to say that was completely wrong and so because they hire incompetent people that canât even read the scanner, I was forced to this dealership and it wasnât even my alternator. It was my battery, so I ended up paying $300 for a freaking battery because of Nissanâs policy if you take it in and you donât get repairs you have to still pay the $150 service fee they try to charge me a service fee for eight different things. I wanted them to look at. Can you imagine if I had to pay $150 times six just to have my...
Read moreHad an appointment at 7:40AM for a nail in my tire and was a couple minutes early. I waited for over 10 minutes and was finally greeted and told to pull forward. I was the first car in the bay at this point, but observed through my rear view that other cars were being helped first. Eventually two others came up to me and also took my name. The 3rd person who greeted me quickly saw I had an appointment (which I had already stated to two others), and she flagged down the person who my appointment was with. She looked at the tire and said it was out of stock and wouldn't be in until Monday and left it at that, without offering a solution. Is the expectation of Clay Cooley that a customer leave and drive around with a nail on the wall of their tire? I had to ask if there was another brand available and she reluctantly checked. I then told her to replace both the back tires for balance purposes. Was told the wait time would be 1.5 to 2 hours, so I waited. During my wait I was upsold several times on items that were not necessary. First a text saying all 4 tires needed to be replaced, which I approved. Then another text asking me if I would like to "further protect my investment by adding an alignment"...on a car with 20k miles that has never had any issues on bumpy roads. I sent a text at the 2.5 hour mark and got a reply that she would "check with the technician and get back to me"...never got a response. I had an appointment at 12 and finally had to get an Uber at 11:30 since my car still was not done and there had been zero communication. Wasn't until I was actively leaving that I was told a shuttle would have been an option. Eventually got a text my car was ready. Then another text saying it was in the car wash....when it was pouring rain outside. Eventually picked up my car for the 1.5 hour appointment for a nail in a tire that turned into a 6 hour ordeal for $1500.00. To top it all off- every single brand new tire is a different PSI. Horrible experience and I have 10000% lost trust in...
Read moreI have loyally brought my Nissan to dealerships for service since buying it, and to Clay Cooley Nissan of Irving specifically since 2019. The service here is consistently awful. It seems like no matter what you bring your car in for, or whether or not you made an appointment, you will be trapped here for the better part of a day and they will run a diagnostic and find that you need $2K+ worth of service. Every. Time.
After my last visit to this dealership, I left a bad review on their internal review system. That same day, I received a call from a manager who apologized for my experience and said I would receive a call from his manager the following day to see how they could make it right. I received no follow-up call. But I did receive an email from Nissan a few days later that I initially thought was a follow-up to that call. Turns out they had just sent me a targeted ad saying that if I traded in my car, they would take the cost of my last service off the price of the new car.
The final straw that actually made me sit down and write this review was that I recently took my car to a Jiffy Lube for an oil change and tire rotation. Not only did they complete that service super fast, but they also discovered that I needed a new cabin air filter as the one I had was MOLDY. I can't imagine how long it took for that filter to develop mold, but I KNOW Nissan has charged me to replace the cabin air filter regularly (and apparently didn't even do it).
